Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network is part on the National AAN. The Apprenticeship Ambassadors are all employers who have recruited apprentices as part of their workforce. They are passionate about their experiences with apprentices and are keen to promote the apprenticeship route to other employers and potential new apprentices.

So much learning took place yesterday at the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network conference. How to effectively use LinkedIn (literally watch this space 😉) The use of AI in the workplace and apprenticeships and how we can better equip ourselves to leverage the benefits and support apprentices with the rules around AI And all the fabulous work our ambassadors have done over the last 12 months to promote and support apprenticeships in our region 👏👏👏 The network really is a great community to part of to keep developing apprentices, and ourselves! Well done Katie Rankin, Jill Coyle, Craig Watson, Bradley Longford and Tegan Hinch for a really valuable event. And thanks for this recognition 🤗 you guys made my time on the steering group very enjoyable and you are a fab team doing so much good!

A fabulous day at the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network unconference yesterday. It was a pleasure to play a part in a day filled with great conversations and new connections. I really appreciated all of the insights into the panel discussion I hosted on how to best support apprentices. Some of the key takeaways were: 💡Apprentices appreciate and want soft skills training in order to aid them to thrive within their industry 💡Mentors are key in aiding both the apprentices to grow but also for their colleagues to understand their journey 💡The best environment is in a business and a team that is apprenticeship positive!

Yesterday I attended the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network meeting hosted by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in Leeds. It was great to be in a room full of passionate employers and apprentices who wanted to make a positive impact for the future world of work.
