About us
West Oxfordshire District Council is part of the Publica Group which delivers great services to local communities on behalf of their local council. Publica is owned by the councils and not shareholders, so we know our priorities and have strong values. At Publica we put people and our communities at the centre of everything we do. Importantly, we have the freedom to do things differently. We combine the knowledge, experience and skills of people from across our councils to innovate, modernise and become more flexible in how we deliver services. At West Oxfordshire District Council we provide services including waste and recycling collections, planning, housing, leisure, community safety and environmental health. Recommendations and connections made by staff linked to the Council are personal and cannot be attributed to the Council.

Are you a resident of West Oxfordshire? We are seeking your feedback to improve our polling stations for future elections. Why are we doing this? We have a statutory duty to review our polling premises every five years, we will be considering factors such as: • Accessibility: Can everyone easily access the polling station? • General Suitability: location, is the premise in the correct place to serve voters; How can you get involved? 1. Share your thoughts: Let us know what you think about your local polling station. 2. Suggest alternatives: Do you have a better location in mind? Please share your ideas. When is the deadline? The consultation will run until Monday November 4th. We would welcome your comments, by sending feedback, you are helping us create more accessible and convenient voting for all. We are pleased to see that Cottsway has transformed its former sheltered housing scheme St Marys Court Witney into 30 new, modern apartments for social rent. The former 1960s building was demolished and new homes built in its place thanks to a grant from Homes England The new scheme now provides 23 one-bed and 7 two-bed apartments for people aged 55 and over. This supports our ongoing affordable housing plans to deliver new affordable homes for our residents.
