What better way to recognise International Youth Day than to celebrate the winners of the Samsung Electronics UK: Solve for Tomorrow Next Gen competition.🎉 This year, we saw an incredible response with 1,153 entries from young innovators across the UK & Ireland, all focused on harnessing technology for good to address the theme of Inclusion. 🌍 Now in its fourth year, the programme has engaged over 124,000 11-15- year-olds and reached 31% of secondary schools across the region, inspiring creativity and empathy in the next generation. Here’s what some of the students had to say: 💬“Next Gen has shown me loads of opportunities for my future ahead.” 💬The best thing about Solve for tomorrow Next Gen was “making up our own ideas that might change the world.” A huge congratulations to all of the winners and a big well done to our wonderful clients at Samsung: Jessie Soohyun Park , Annalyz Fraser (Siliezar) & Sophie Moss; and the team at We Are Futures: Kamahl Hoque, Rosie Huggon, Louise Glenn, Caitlin P., Elaine Lalchand, Jessie L., Eve Hodgson & Clément Brunson. #SolveForTomorrow #SFT_UK_2024 #Enabling_People #InternationalYouthDay

Welcome to the team Kat Sommers 😊 Kat started her career as a content producer at the BBC, before going freelance to write copy for clients such as Bulb, Google, and Sky. She's joining us as a Senior Copywriter, working across projects for EE, NatWest, Scottish Water and others. "I'm looking forward to getting stuck in at We Are Futures, and writing the kind of copy that makes people stop scrolling and take notice. The key to good copywriting is knowing your audience inside out, so I'm excited to work for an agency so dedicated to young people and their wellbeing." When Kat's not wrangling words for us, you'll find her writing scripts, at the cinema, and neglecting the plants on her balcony.

The UK's investment in the cultural sector is now among the lowest in Europe, resulting in a significant decline in arts participation in our schools. We’re excited to share insights from our Senior Account Executive, Hannah Chestnutt about why it’s vital that we continue to advocate for increased support and investment in the arts and how Sky Arts is tackling the issue head on. Happy 10th (week-old) anniversary to our Run Club 🏃♀️ 🎉
Account Manager | We Are Futures is a Brand and Social Impact agency that connects clients to the mass markets of tomorrow
We Are Futures Run Club turns 10 (weeks old) 🏃 Over the past 10 weeks, our group has grown in numbers, we're now working to our 10k milestone, and we even attempted a morning session today. Our captain, James Rimmer, has been a driving force in ensuring we don't lose momentum over the weeks... or get lost on the route 🙏 Would recommend that any company starts a weekly run club - just avoid running by the Thames during rush hour 😬 Here's to the next 10! (Even though it's now considerably drier out now than our first run 10 weeks ago in this pic, I had to make a judgement call given how sweaty we all were this morning.)

We are firm believers in helping young people to bridge the gap between education and work! Which is why this year our Opportunity team supported Better Bankside with their Bankside Futures summer programme. The programme supports 16–18-year-olds living or studying in Southwark to get ready for the world of work by meeting a range of employers. Our team had a fantastic time at the careers speed networking event and the mini-mock interviews. It was a pleasure to support and meet such enthusiastic, motivated and curious young people. A huge thank you to everyone from We Are Futures who got involved (Faye Pooley, James Rimmer, Anabel Lee - Wragg, Eve Hodgson and Emily Terry) as well as to Rachel Nicholson from Better Bankside and Ann Chung from Sculpt for organising such a fantastic programme. Bring on next year! #careeropportunities #nextgeneration #unlockingpotential #ukedchat #skillsdevelopment #careers

Huge congratulations to our wonderful #Rexona clients and the We Are Futures team for delivering 6 outstanding sports days with the #BreakingLimitsProgramme!
Client Partner @We Are Futures | Building advocacy for brands amongst young people, through social impact
Throwback to last week at one of the 6 Sports Days we organised and attended around the UK with #Rexona and the #BreakingLimitsProgramme, connecting Olympians and Paralympians direct to young people at their schools to inspire them to keep moving with confidence. #SureBreakingLimitsProgramme is designed to break down barriers to movement, by helping to give young people the opportunity and confidence to move and be active. This initiative has been so rewarding to work on. Seeing the children's reactions when they were being cheered on by the likes of Jonnie Peacock, Ellie Downie, Lauren Steadman, Louis Smith and Liam Heath was heartwarming. We even got a little feature in Express & Star - read more here about Jonnie Peacock's Sports Day: https://lnkd.in/eECHwcyE Thanks to my team at We Are Futures, our colleagues at Edelman and to our brilliant #Rexona clients for making these moments a reality.
