About us
Building services engineers are rarely renowned for their creative flair. But when it comes to turning the project vision into reality, you need an engineering partner you can count on to support you in every detail. A partner who doesn’t just understand creativity, but lives it and breathes it. WELCOME TO WB SHIELS Today, building services installations account for around 30-40% of total construction cost – so it's vital that you seek true value from that spend by choosing the right partner. We think it’s time for a new approach; time to tear up the old rule book and write something new. Out with the old and in with a new breed: the MEP designer. WB Shiels represents a new generation: passionate and committed, qualified and experienced. Attention to detail is the art form we practice.

#INWED24 International Women in Engineering Day 2024. Today we celebrate Regina Jefree our rising star at WB Shiels… “ As a child, I was always curious of how things work, and I always felt a sense of accomplishment to be able to help people. I was passionate about Maths and Physics and my teacher recommended doing engineering when I grew up. Then, as I got to experience the challenge of solving complex problems in University, that drove me to become a mechanical engineer. I'm now a mechanical engineer at WB Shiels, I find it enjoyable doing different tasks daily, from designing in CAD on my desk to coordination meetings with the whole design team. Most importantly, to be able to work in a safe and inclusive environment has allowed me to develop my engineering knowledge further. I am looking forward to strengthening this skill so that I can bring positive impact to the community and environment.” Well said Regina and in true alignment with INWED24 theme : Enhanced by Engineering. D-Day quotes: As the world commemorates 79th anniversary. On June 6, 1944, American, British and Canadian troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. The liberation of France and Western Europe had started, leading to the defeat of Nazi Germany a few months later. “At this historic moment surely not one of us is too busy, too young or too old to play a part in a nation-wide, perchance a world-wide vigil of prayer as the great crusade sets forth-“ King George VI, speaking during a radio address on June 6, 1944 “I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory! Good luck!” – Winston Churchill #Lestweforget #DDay
