Organisations often wait for problems to arise before taking action!🚨 Don’t wait for something to break to fix it. Employee wellbeing, DEI, and mental health must go beyond crisis management. If these resources are only available when things go wrong, you’re doing it wrong. Employee wellbeing and mental health should be everyone’s responsibility. These values need to be deeply ingrained in your organisation, where every individual feels accountable for fostering a successful, happy, supportive, and mentally healthy environment. This approach is key to long-term growth. By keeping your people happy and healthy, you’ll see your organisation flourish.

You shouldn't wait for something to break in order to fix it. Employee wellbeing, DEI, and mental health must be more than just crisis management departments. Employee wellbeing and mental health should be everyone's responsibility. These values need to be deeply ingrained in your organisation, where every individual feels accountable for fostering a successful, happy, supportive, and mentally healthy environment. This approach is key to long-term growth. By keeping your people happy and healthy, you'll see your organisation flourish in the same way. Jay Patel kept global platforms running smoothly by prioritising robust monitoring and effective processes 🚀 Blameless postmortems are essential for fostering a learning culture and reducing fear of repercussions. What practices have you found successful?

You can't fix a problem you don't know exists, so observability is key 🔑 What helped Jay Patel to keep global platforms with millions of users in a healthy state is having robust monitoring systems in place, and putting as much emphasis on choosing the right technologies, as on setting up efficient processes ⚖️ I also think it's imperative to have blameless postmortems whenever incidents occur to cultivate a culture of learning and limit the risk of your team members hiding issues in fear of repercussions 🫵 ❌ What do you deem important and what practices have you seen succeed?

How do you encourage your teams to think about the bigger picture rather than just focusing on the present?🌎 Jay Patel has found success with regular hackathons, which many of you also favour. To foster innovation, it's important to create a safe environment, reward creative thinking and experimentation, reflect and iterate, have fun (and laugh at mistakes), and ensure team diversity. 🌟

How do you encourage your teams to think about the bigger picture rather than just focusing on the here and now? 🤔 Something that Jay Patel found successful throughout his career is running regular hackathons - and I know from speaking to many of you that this is one of the more popular approaches 💡 Few of the things that I feel are very important to encourage innovation: 👉 create a safe environment 👉 reward creative thinking & experimentation 👉 reflect and iterate 👉 have fun (and laugh at your mistakes) 👉 ensure diversity in your teams Would love to hear your thoughts and what worked in your careers 💭👇
