☀️Exploring the Future of Renewable Energy with Floating Solar Power Stations☀️ We’re excited to share a comprehensive look into the potential of floating solar from our recent interview with Water Magazine 📰. Mike Kelly, our Development Director at AquaGen365 dives deep into this innovative technology that can revolutionise the renewable energy landscape 🌲 Key points include: 📈 Sustainability and efficiency: floating solar panels provide a very efficient and ‘easy to deploy’ source of on-site renewable energy. 🚜 Land preservation: these installations avoid sterilisation of agriculture and other valuable land uses. 💧 Water conservation: floating solar installations could reduce surface water evaporation significantly. 🌊 Opportunities to expand solar PV at scale: with the #Watersector at the fore, floating solar can be installed on inland water bodies (in lakes, reservoirs and quarries), nearshore (ports and harbours) and offshore (in our seas), demonstrating its versatility. Our first project in the Port of Leith, Edinburgh, is already demonstrating significant promise. Discover how AquaGen365, a collaboration between RSK Group and Nova Innovation, is pioneering sustainable energy solutions ⚡ Watch the full interview below and join the conversation on the future of floating solar! 💚 https://lnkd.in/ez5vnH7A #RenewableEnergy #FloatingSolar #UKwatersector

How can the water industry manage rising #energy costs and improve #sustainability through digital transformation? With the cost of bills rising, it’s now more important than ever for water companies to adopt smart, intelligent and automated technologies to lower costs, reduce their environmental impact, and meet regulatory demands. Embracing these technologies is also key to delivering clean, safe water and protecting our natural resources. For those attending, I'll be at this week's NWG (Northumbrian Water Group)’s Innovation Festival to discuss the critical relationship between power and the UK #water sector. A big thank you also to Water Magazine and Daniel Ware for covering my thoughts, you can read the full article here - https://lnkd.in/ekHXm89H
