Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stopped by to say hello to us at the Waterloo Festival at St John's Waterloo this weekend! #WaterlooFestival #CommunitySupport #MentalHealthAwareness
Had a lovely time at the Waterloo Festival on Sunday with Lucian Dee, Pedro García, and our wonderful counsellors Eva and Katia. A big thank you to St John's Waterloo for hosting us, and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stopped by to say hello, purchased our greeting cards and baked goods, and made generous donations. It was inspiring to meet so many caring individuals dedicated to improving the mental health of our community. Your support means the world to us! #WaterlooFestival #CommunitySupport #MentalHealthAwareness

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded an incredibly generous £19,800 by The National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All grants programme. This funding, for our ‘Employee Resilience’ Project, will cover the clinical supervision fees of up to 44 amazing, dedicated counsellors over the next 2 years. It will help us to recruit, retain and support the training of counsellors who are representative of the vibrant & diverse communities we serve. To have secured this funding is a huge bonus. The commitment of The National Lottery through this award and the incredibly generous support they provide to WCC through their Reaching Communities Fund, really is a lifeline for hundreds of Londoners every year. To the players of the National Lottery, on behalf of everyone here at WCC - THANK YOU for making a difference! #NationalLottery

"I feel seeing and talking to my counsellor weekly saved my life" (WCC client feedback)
Our message to the new Government and Prime Minister ... The time for pledges and promises is over – we need the new Labour Government to take powerful actions to improve the nation’s mental health. Counselling and psychotherapy must be a key part of their response. We'll be working hard over the coming months to strengthen relationships with policy-makers and offer support in implementing manifesto commitments. This builds on our longstanding work to advise the Labour Party on these pledges ahead of the General Election. From the 11th to the 15th July the Waterloo Festival will return to St Johns Church Waterloo. This year's theme is Gardens, Rivers and Marshes. The wonderful folk at St Johns and The Bridge at Waterloo have put together an amazing schedule over the five days, including workshops, music, art exhibitions and more. WCC will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday to meet with local people, talk about our work and try to raise some funds for our vital services. We hope lots of people will come for the festival and check out the activities - and make sure you find our stall too!
