Earlier this year the team delivered a bespoke shoring solution in Dublin! Modular hydraulic equipment was supplied by Groundforce to support the build of a new eight-storey campus building in the city centre for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). We recently provided an innovative slide rail solution for Murphy, which is now readily available across the UK. This system allows our customers to benefit from its flexibility and efficiency, as an alternative to sheet and frame solutions. If you would like to learn more about our slide rail system please contact us here: https://lnkd.in/dk_sZFz
Recently we at Murphy successfully completed concrete sleeve pipe installation works using a lesser known slide rail ground shoring system which Vp Groundforce haven't utilised in the UK for many years, on our Meriden Road project for Severn Trent Water. Vp Groundforce provided the temporary works design and supply of the system which they had imported from Germany to trial on the project. Due to the width of the trench required, we found more common solutions like rolling strut boxes could not provide us with the width we required. The slide rail system gave us the ability to go the width we needed, with a transient system that moved with the works, without the need for utilising coffer dams made of sheet piles and frames. The slide rails ability to go wider than other common systems has meant we could stay away from the cost, time and resource impacts associated with sheet piles and frames. We found this system being advantageous in areas where there is no risk of existing services, but if there are existing services then this wouldn't be versatile enough to incorporate them crossing through the system.
