Vodafone Business IoT and Kigen announce an exciting collaboration in the world of IoT! 🌐 Vodafone’s connectivity is being directly integrated into Kigen’s iSIM Secure Package – making the development of IoT products and services more efficient for enterprises. This iSIM technology is commercially available directly on multiple chipsets, allowing: - Delivery times faster than any previous generation of SIM - A reduction of cost in sourcing components, manual installation and energy consumption - Worldwide iSIM connectivity This optimisation will also benefit connectivity solutions across industries like smart health devices, wearables and water monitoring. Minulý týden jsme se zúčastnili Seznamovacího večera Digitální akademie Data v Praze, pořádaného Czechitas. 34 talentovaných žen se rozhodlo vstoupit do světa IT a my jsme hrdí, že Vodafone je jedním z partnerů, kteří je na této cestě podporují. Velké díky také patří našim kolegům – Michaela Srpová, Vojtěch Novotný, Martin Šimáček a Jan Kůla, kteří se zapojili jako lektoři a mentoři a předávají své znalosti a zkušenosti studentkám. The HeForShe Alliance Impact Report 2024 has highlighted a decade of progress. 👇 Examining and highlighting the impact of Vodafone’s commitment to gender equality and to prevent domestic abuse: 📱 Vodafone Foundation's Bright Sky app, now available in 13 countries, has reached over 1 million people, providing vital support and resources to survivors of domestic abuse. 🎙️ Our ‘1 in 3’ campaign reached over 65 million people, exposing the hidden reality of domestic violence, raising awareness and directing people to Bright Sky for support. As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of UN Women’s HeForShe Initiative and its Alliance, we stand firm in our commitment as there’s still much to be done. 2.6 billion people are still unconnected. At the ITU’s SDG Digital during UNGA79 in New York, Shameel Joosub, CEO Vodacom Group and Vodafone Group ExCo member, argued that to really democratise access to digital services, the world needs radical new approaches.   When we are forced to act with urgency, such as with Hurricane Beryl, the convergence of satellite and mobile technology ensured that people’s voices could still be heard. But what if we could harness this technology beyond warzones and natural disasters? Can we finally close the digital divide? By embracing satellite technology – along with initiatives like Vodacom South Africa’s affordable smartphone project - we can reach the last mile, the isolated communities, the farmers, the rural women, and the schools.
