🔦 BREAKING NEWS - The Home Secretary has announced a "five-point plan" for reducing UK immigration 🔦 • Skilled Worker minimum salary will rise from the current £26,200 to a whopping £38,700 (a 47.7% increase!) The care sector will, for now, continue to be exempt but other sectors such as hospitality will be hit hard. • Social care workers will not be allowed to bring dependants to the UK. • Ending the 20% going rate salary reduction for shortage occupations. • The minimum salary requirement for spouse/partner visa to increase £18,600 to £38,700. • Student update: Graduate Visa to be reviewed by Migration Advisory Committee in attempt to "prevent abuse" in this route. These changes are likely to come in to effect from spring 2024. Fragomen #immigration #UKimmigration #skilledworkervisa #graduatevisa #studentvisa
