I’m thrilled to share that Virgin's new office on Charlotte St in London, Whitfield Studios, has officially opened its doors! Our aim was to make Whitfield Studios feel like a second home, with every element chosen to bring the Virgin experience to life – it is vibrant, welcoming, and has a touch of the unconventional. Whitfield Studios was originally CBS’s recording studio – the very building where Virgin Records began its journey (with Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells recorded and mastered here). I especially love the playfulness that’s comes out in every room name – from Start Me Up, to Together Again, to Zig a Zig ah – our history is being celebrated as we remember some of the great songs and bands who’ve recorded in this very space, including The Spice Girls, The Rolling Stones and many more. I’m so proud of the team who turned this vision into a reality – seamlessly weaving in colleague well-being needs, and baking-in sustainability from the outset. This new space will have a positive impact for years to come. It's such an exciting moment to open a hub in the heart of London, where the Virgin family, partners, and communities can share a space that celebrates who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re heading: https://virg.in/3NWs59M

Say hello to our new home, Whitfield Studios 👋 For our new space, we needed to champion our brand heritage here at Virgin. Whitfield Studios opened in 1965 and quickly established a reputation for being one of London’s hottest recording studios, popular with some former Virgin Records artists. You may have heard of the Rolling Stones or Madonna? How about the Spice Girls, Amy Winehouse or Elton John? Yeah, we thought so. Once we found our location, we needed a little help from design experts. And this is where our old friends at White Red Architects came in. Back in the day, they launched their company and turned to Virgin StartUp, Virgin’s not-for-profit hub for entrepreneurs, to help them along their start-up journey. They came full circle, back at Virgin’s front door, but this time with a list of globally successful projects under their belts, and pitching to turn the four-storey, 21,000 sq. ft studio space into a new home for the team at Virgin Group. Dicky from White Red Architects said: “We never imagined we’d be back five years later and being handed the brief to reimagine Virgin’s new London office. It’s been a dream come true.” Check out more on the project here: https://virg.in/4fye9P1

📊 35% of Brits admit to a fear of heights, yet less than half (41%) have actually succeeded in overcoming one. It’s clear that overcoming fear is easier said than done. TV presenter Helen Skelton recently took on the challenge by paddling across the world’s highest aqueduct—standing an incredible 126 feet tall—showing just how powerful it can be to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Virgin Red is encouraging Brits to take that same leap and turn fear into triumph. We’re offering a unique opportunity for three winners to canoe across the iconic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and face their fears and make lasting memories. 🚣♀️ Want to be one of the lucky three? Enter our competition now 👉 https://virg.in/40e7kxT Ends 23:59pm on 25.11.24. You’ll have one shot to win and you need to be 18 and UK resident to enter. Exclusive to Virgin Red members.

Last week at Virgin HQ, Holly Branson sat down with Steven Bartlett for her Meet the Author series. At Virgin Red, we believe loyalty is built on continuous innovation and finding ways to add value to every experience. Here's what we took away from our chat with Steven, and how it ties back to delivering rewards that truly matter: 1️⃣ Experiment for Growth: Test 100x more than you do now. At Virgin Red we champion this - whether it’s new ways to engage members or unique rewards to offer. Experimentation leads to learning, and learning allows us to create better, more tailored rewards that keep members coming back. 2️⃣ Find Your Purpose Through Exploration. Don't limit yourself to thinking you just have 1. Just as Virgin Red members seek a variety of experiences, so should we. Encourage members to explore different rewards, try new things, and discover what excites them. 3️⃣ Double Down on Unique Skills: Steven highlighted how success often comes from combining rare, complementary skills. At Virgin Red, we look at loyalty in the same way—combining seamless technology with standout rewards to create a unique and memorable member experience. It’s about building a holistic journey that feels just right. Stay tuned to watch the full interview 👀

Richard Branson, Virgin and Made By Dyslexia teamed up to launch DyslexicU, the world’s first University of Dyslexic thinking. It comes after a new ‘Intelligence 5.0’ report by Made By Dyslexia's shows that today's AI driven world needs a new kind of intelligence, and that dyslexics have the skills most sought-after in every job, in every sector, globally. So Richard Branson is finally going to university… and you can join him (for free, from anywhere in the world). With Virgin Red, you can also donate your Virgin Points to Made by Dyslexia and support their mission to teach the world the brilliance of Dyslexic Thinking, and to empower it in every home, every workplace, and every school. 👉 https://lnkd.in/ezBS7Shr
