We are pleased to announce that we are bringing more manufacturing back to the UK, with the closure of our Hefei, China facility. Transferring £4.2 million worth of surgical instruments operations from China to our UK facilities will create 12 new jobs, bolster our women’s health portfolio and reduce the number of containers that we import from China by 10%, removing 28 tonnes of CO2 emissions from our carbon footprint every year. The closure of our China facility forms part of our wider commitment to UK manufacturing, with Alex Hodges, CEO, adding, "With the vast majority of our products made in Britain, we pride ourselves on being a UK manufacturer. Transferring a significiant part of production to the Newtown and Worksop facilities is part of our mission to make as many single-use instruments as possible at home."
