We always enjoy filming gigs, especially when the tracks are this good! Jill Jackson played to a sold out crowd at St Luke's in Glasgow for the launch of her new album “Curse of the Damned” The crowd were loving it and there was even a few guest appearances on stage! We used our in-house Sony FX6s for this paired with all Sony lenses to make using the face tracking autofocus as simple as tapping the screen. Mounting them on our Manfrotto Imagine More tripods for smooth panning and tilting. And of course using RØDE hot shoe mics for recording scratch audio makes syncing the edit beyond easy. Location Producing was Alan Forbes who also helpfully worked a couple of static cameras at the back of the room. We've mentioned it before but here's some BTS of the day Niteworks asked us to film what is likely to be their last music video! Can’t thank them enough for trusting us with this project and it looks damn good if we don’t say so ourselves. This vision was brought to life utilising our in-house kit of Sony cameras, NEEWER lighting, Manfrotto Imagine More tripods and RØDE mics for recording scratch audio to make syncing in post an easy process. Putting the edit together in Apples excellent Final Cut and graphics brought together by Jacob Capener in Unreal Engine. I think it's fair to say we love making music videos, so when Niteworks approached us asking to film the music video for their latest single we jumped at the chance. Working in collaboration with the mad scientist Jacob Capener, it is going to be a visual feast as he's utilising Unreal Engine to bring the world together. Filming it on our in-house Green Screen and using our favourite cameras the Sony FX6 along with recording scratch audio with the amazing RØDE top mics to make the edit as easy as possible.
