In the spirit of Boabab Tree Day 2024, it’s great to see BBC News highlighting the importance of new research on baobab trees from around the world. For a tree that’s been prominent for approximately 21 MILLION years, we sure enough have only scratched the surface! With the release of these new findings, researchers are sounding the alarm, urging for greater conservation efforts as baobabs face threats from climate change and deforestation – something we work every day to change 🤝 Having research like this broadcasted by publications such as Reuters and BBC is really wild to see and we hope it continues… Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/eHsy_3Es

Back in October 2023 some of the UNROOTED team, including Nathan Clemes and Amber Numamoto, ventured out to Zimbabwe and South Africa to visit the communities that harvest our star superfruit, the wild Baobab. The team were able to experience first-hand the direct impact UNROOTED is having on Baobab-harvesting communities, whilst exploring the wild harvesting process and learning even more about the world's most sustainable superfruit that we love so much.
