We had an absolutely brilliant time with the fantastic young people at Churcher's College for one of our high impact Unloc Enterprise Days! We started the day with an inspirational talk from Josh Robinson 🎤📔 from LMSUK, followed by a series of skills based masterclasses and an entrepreneurship challenge. During the challenge the students were tasked with creating a sustainable clothing company, we saw some absolutely amazing concepts ranging from sportswear to baby clothing! In early September we ran 18 changemaker sessions across one week at The Isle of Wight College to introduce the new student exec role across all students. Following the sessions 21 amazing young people were inspired to face the challenge and took on the student exec role and joined our Facilitators Jess and Kellie at the first day of the Unloc Leadership Academy! The day focused on team building, leadership, public speaking and effective project planning. Shoutout to the brand new Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Youth Board cohort! We had our first meeting yesterday and the group got stuck into everything I threw at them including showing me their best dance moves, learning new languages, getting to know each other and starting their projects.
