We know all our staff go to great lengths for the people they support - but service manager Nikki is going to great heights, and she's terrified! 🪂 Please give generously if you can - all funds raised go to a sensory garden at a United Response service in Herts:

The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) Spring Survey findings will not come as a surprise to those who work in social care. Nonetheless, they are very alarming and serve a clear message to the new government: reform social care and do it now. Read our full response ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eq3bGGV3

Our job coaches are working with DFN Project SEARCH and Home Group to support young people into work. We caught up with Oscar and Luke to find out how their placements are going. Oscar said: "This placement means the world to me, and I’ll give it my best shot." Luke said: "This tells me that one day I could hold down a permanent job and be an important part of that team too." We've been asking people we support and their families what they hope to see the next government commit to. Angie told us: "I want the next Government to fund social care properly. I want my sister's support workers to be paid in parity with NHS staff and have a pay structure that recognises their level of responsibility and the required knowledge and skills. I want to see the next government improve access to health services and the health services provided to people with learning disabilities." We're proud to have joined forces with Brandon Trust, Certitude, Choice Support, Dimensions UK and MacIntyre to call for exactly that.
