We’re proud to share that Unilever brand campaigns won 35 awards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity – some of the most prestigious honours in the marketing industry. The result represents a 25% increase year on year, with two Grand Prix, five Gold Lions, nine Silver Lions and 19 Bronze, as well as 65 campaigns on the shortlist. Vaseline won the Glass Lion for Change Grand Prix. Magnum was recognised with the Grand Prix Lion in the Outdoor category. And Lions also went to campaigns from Dove, Marmite, Hellmann’s, Axe, Pot Noodle, OMO, Cleanipedia, Brooke Bond, Rexona, Knorr, Sunsilk and LUX. Vanilla is one of the core ingredients in our ice cream supply chain, and Madagascar is the top producer in the world. Our Vanilla for Change programme with Symrise AG and Save the Children UK is working there to secure our vanilla supplies and farmers’ futures. Since 2020 Symrise AG has trained more than 5,000 smallholders to grow vanilla and diversify crops in ways that improve crop resilience in the face of climate change. And with our partner Save the Children UK, the programme is supporting farmers’ families too. It’s raising awareness of child rights and helping children and young adults gain confidence through education and training opportunities.
