About us

Forging collaborations to catalyse impactful, peer-reviewed research in support of the UK’s Net Zero objectives. UK-HyRES aims to define and tackle the research challenges blocking the wider use of low carbon fuels. Funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) through the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Led by Professor Tim Mays at the University of Bath, UK-HyRES includes: 8 Research Themes 7 Initial Core Universities 15 Projects Already Defined £4.7M Accessible Flexible Fund 330 Researchers and Industrialists Engaged 80 Industry and Public Companies Consulted The Hub is Co-Directed by Professor Rachael Rothman at The University of Sheffield, and Professor Shanwen Tao at the University of Warwick. Partner universities include the Universities of, Portsmouth, Surrey, St Andrews, and UCL.
