Congratulations to everyone who took part in this great event! https://lnkd.in/eh8YNGFe
We had a great time taking part in the annual Standard Chartered Great City Race last night! 🏃♂️ Around 40 employees from Thomas Miller completed the 5k race, which takes in some of the capital's most famous landmarks, including St Paul's Cathedral, Tower 42 and the Bank of England. One third of the entry fee for all race participants was donated to the Standard Chartered Foundation, which helps to fund Futuremakers’ education, employability and entrepreneurship programmes around the world. 🧡 Thomas Miller also took this opportunity to raise funds for our global corporate charity partner, St Mungo's and we raised over £1500 to support the charities efforts in combatting homelessness in the UK. There is still time to donate to the Thomas Miller page, and you can find this here: https://lnkd.in/ddKDr7Xt 🏆 A special shoutout to Alexander Milne (UK P&I Club) who claimed 1st place for the Insurance category! Well done to all involved.

Appealing an arbitration award; a note of caution. Historically, the aim of arbitration was to bring finality to disputes between commercial parties in a relatively quick and cost-effective manner. Unfortunately, those ideals are not always met, and in certain circumstances the outcome is not one which was anticipated. The Club's circular ‘Appealing an Arbitration Award - A Note of Caution’ provides useful guidance when considering appealing an arbitration award and is available on our website here https://lnkd.in/eKK7y5zJ #ShipsandShipping #MaritimeIndustry #Arbitration
