📩 Today, FutureDotNow issued an urgent call to action to Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State at the Department for Education, and Peter Kyle, Secretary of State at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. In an open letter, co-signed by cross-sector leaders, our message was clear: the gap in essential digital skills across the UK workforce poses a significant threat to the success of the government's most critical missions. But the good news is, three low-cost interventions from government - if implemented at pace - could make the difference. The time has come for a Great Digital Catch Up to equip every worker, whether paid or voluntary, with the skills they need to drive personal prosperity, economic growth and seize the opportunities of tomorrow. By setting a bold national ambition, the new government could ensure that every adult in the workforce has the digital capabilities required to thrive in an increasingly digital world of work .
