Truly flushable wet wipes! 100% biodegradable and free from plastic, alcohol, and parabens.
About us
It’s no secret, the UK loves wet wipes – 11 billion are used each year in the UK alone! Unfortunately, plastic-based wet wipes have become a critical problem plaguing waterways, landfills, and sewage pipes. They contribute to 90% of sewer blockages, as most wipes aren't truly flushable - even the ones that claim to be. These blockages cost £100 million, in the UK alone, to break apart each year. Twipes are bringing clean change to a dirty industry – we create the world's first truly flushable and biodegradable wet wipes! They disperse in water in 3 hours and biodegrade in landfill in just 7 days. They’re plastic-free, alcohol-free, and paraben-free - dermatologist-tested to be as safe on skin as they are for the planet. Twipes are designed to be fully dispersed before they reach main sewer drains to avoid creating blockages. Our natural-fibre formulation biodegrades quickly – never ending up on beaches or riverbeds. We believe living sustainably should be affordable and easy – as simple as changing your product. Twipes make it easy to stay fresh and clean, whilst keeping the planet fresh too!

Huge thanks to Peter Boyce II for the great chat he spearheaded today; It was a wonderful opportunity to hear his thoughts about community (and/or Magic the Gathering). Shout out to 43North for always hosting such thoughtful events and for always welcoming the Twipes Team to attend!
Today we had the privilege of hosting Peter Boyce II, Founder & Managing Partner of Stellation Capital, for a fireside chat with our founders in the M&T Bank Tech Academy. Peter, who served as a judge in the 2021 43North Finals, brought his expertise and insights to the conversation. We are grateful for his time and look forward to welcoming him back soon. #43North #VentureCapital #StartupCommunity #Innovation #StartupAccelerator

We are so grateful for all of the hard work and positive energy our interns have brought to our team this summer. At Twipes, we focus on teaching valuable skills that can be applied in the workplace and to other endeavors, so we asked our interns to share the biggest things they learned this summer. Here’s what they had to say! Ava Steiner, Graphic Design Intern: “At Twipes this summer, I learned a lot about marketing and designing for a product’s different audiences. I am so grateful for the opportunity to create graphics for Twipes. This experience helped me learn how to apply feedback and continue [creating] designs for different needs. I’m so thankful for the awesome team at Twipes and their trust in my creativity!” Ari Klein, Sales Intern: “I learned a lot about how to collect sales analytics and data. I also learned how to write cold emails and give sales pitches in person to businesses. It was an amazing experience to learn how a startup runs, and I’m super thankful for my time at Twipes!” Madison Batiz, Sales Intern: “I learned more about market research and formulating a real data set that I made myself. I also got to code some real data visuals, which I had fun doing. I loved the relationships that I made here…I also got to tag along with my coworkers while they did sales outreach to actual businesses, which was a fun and new experience. Most importantly, I’m considering going into market research in the future because I had fun while doing it, and I can incorporate it with data science!” Makayla Martin, Marketing Intern: “Reflecting on my summer as a marketing intern at Twipes, I am grateful for the amazing experience. Writing blog posts, newsletters, and marketing campaigns enhanced my skills in a young, vibrant setting. The dynamic startup environment exposed me to the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship. The supportive and innovative team at Twipes made this journey unforgettable, and I am thankful for the connections and friendships I have made.” Check out our blog to learn more about the intern experience at Twipes: https://lnkd.in/eYHfxQSy

We had a great time teaming up with the Buffalo Bisons on Sunday for their game against the Syracuse Mets! The event allowed our team to directly engage with fans and explain the sustainable mission of our business, as well as the positive uses for Twipes in everyday life. We handed out sachets of individual wet wipes for everyone to enjoy; they were perfect for cooling off or wiping down after a hot dog during the game. Team Autograph Day attracted a multitude of families, so we also hosted interactive activities at our booth, including a "spin the wheel" challenge for kids to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who came out to meet us and to the Bisons for a thrilling win over Syracuse! Check out our blog to learn more about our experience: https://lnkd.in/ercQex2V

Doors open at 11:30 for Team Autograph Day, so get there early to try some Twipes and do a shake test after meeting the players. Look out for our team passing out Twipes in the crowd– we’ll be there to save you from a messy hot dog or melted ice cream! We hope to see you there ⚾ #buffalo #716 #buffalove #bisons #buffalobisons #baseball

Happy 716 Day from Twipes! The Twipes team is proud to be celebrating our first year in Buffalo! After hopping across the pond from the U.K. to America with 43North, we have become increasingly involved in our new community and across the country. Over the past year, our team has participated in nationwide events, all the way from Los Angeles with PopSugar, Inc. Playground to New York City with Morgan Stanley Demo Day. Our founders Alborz Bozorgi and Ellenor McIntosh have also been featured on local Buffalo news stations, podcasts, and in media publications, including Leading Edge Only, Buffalo Spree Publishing, Inc. and Black Business Magazine. Since moving to the States, our team has grown to fifteen people, and this past March, Twipes launched in our first retail store, Thistle & Shamrock, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We have also participated in a number of startup learning programs in the U.S. and beyond, including a startup package from Wirtschaftsagentur Wien. Thank you to 43North and to all of our supporters for making our journey possible. We are looking forward to continuing our growth and development in America!
