We are pleased to announce plans for a new 311,551sq ft National Distribution Centre for Greggs at Symmetry Park, Kettering. The initiative is part of Greggs’ strategic growth plan, announced in 2021, which set out ambitious expansion targets requiring investment in significant supply chain capacity.   We are also seeking planning permission for an additional 100,000 sq. ft. to enable Greggs to expand the site further.   We were represented by BNP Paribas, Cushman & Wakefield and DTRE LLP Wright Silverwood is representing Greggs. As England gears up to face the Netherlands in the #EURO2024 semi-finals tonight, we're channeling that same team spirit and determination to support Halifax-born ski instructor Tom Waddington. Tom is attempting to break a world record by rowing solo across the North Atlantic from Canada to Penzance in under 39 days, aiming to raise £50,000 for Mind by facing 2000 miles of gruelling conditions. Inspired by Tom's story, our team has taken on a mission this week to #MatchTheMiles by rowing, cycling, and running the 2000 miles to raise awareness and money for Tom's cause. It's Day 3, and we're 650 miles down with 1350 to go! We're logging our miles on Strava, which is fuelling some healthy competition within the team. Remarkably, fewer people have completed this solo North Atlantic crossing than have been to space or scaled Everest. Tom, a Yorkshire ski instructor who runs a ski school in Switzerland, was inspired to take on this monumental challenge to support a cause close to his heart. He aims to raise £50,000. Last week, our team had the opportunity to tour three of our clients' impressive buildings at Symmetry Park Bicester / M40 J9 - DPD UK, Ocado Retail, and DP World. We discovered why these industry leaders chose Bicester as their premier distribution hubs. From Ocado's cutting-edge robotic technology to DP World's centre for music and video distribution, in partnership with Utopia, handling 70% of physical music sold in the UK, we were inspired by the operations taking place. Our journey continued down the road at Symmetry Park Oxford / M40 J10, to view construction underway of the 604,000 sq ft global R&D facility for Siemens Healthineers. To wrap up our day, we enjoyed some team bonding with punting on the picturesque River Cherwell. A huge thank you to our clients for hosting us!
