Beyond Zero - making the transition to regenerative agriculture investable

What a few days, full-on doesn’t quite cover it! After another amazing year exhibiting at Groundswell Agriculture, the team at Beyond Zero (a Triage company) are reflecting on, and starting to follow-up, all of the connections made with old and new clients, and some exciting new alliances with organisations helping to reverse climate change and biodiversity collapse. Beyond Zero is underwriting the transition to regenerative agriculture by making it investable. The work started a few years ago, building a system which helps drive farmers beyond net zero, so that they benefit from more climate and financially resilient businesses, and unlock new income streams. We are now matching land managers to companies large and small that have the same goals as us; nothing beats emissions' reduction, but good quality carbon removal projects come a close second. We will release news of our Groundswell competition shortly, the winners benefiting from 10% off the cost of their natural capital (habitat and soil) and carbon audit baselines. Follow Beyond Zero on LinkedIn to keep up-to-date with news on our projects, case studies and partners: https://lnkd.in/eHJuJH6K. #Groundswell #Groundswell24 #Groundswell2024

Beyond Zero - making the transition to regenerative agriculture investable

Triage is delighted to support Denbies Wine Estate Limited in playing their part in the reversal of climate change and biodiversity collapse, all whilst maintaining their primary business objective, i.e. to produce award winning, Net Zero certified wine. 🥂 Using the UK Carbon Code of Conduct framework, we have delivered a fully auditable, robust, and holistic set of baselines, and developed an ongoing carbon emissions’ reduction and sequestration plan, and we look forward to providing continued assistance on Denbies’ nature-friendly farming journey. 🍇 🌳 🌱 🌼 🐝 🦋 🐌 🐜 🐞 🕷 🦔 🦗 🐛 Further details in our joint press release below. Full case study to follow.

Beyond Zero - making the transition to regenerative agriculture investable

🇯🇪 More #Jersey good news! Building upon our island-wide tree survey last year, we're about to start a #carbon #netzero project with Impact Jersey's Challenger Programme - funded by the Government of Jersey's Digital Jersey grant. We'll be helping Jersey understand it's #climatechange challenge by delivering a project to map and measure the island's #naturalcapital, calculate it's current carbon storage, and identify opportunities for further carbon #sequestration and #naturerecovery through changes in land management e.g. #habitat creation and #regenerativeagriculture. Jersey has set itself a target to reach Net Zero by 2050, and our project will deliver the first comprehensive carbon sequestration baseline of the island. We shall use this to balance against the island's total emissions, thereby providing a robust analysis of Jersey's current Net Zero position - essential for developing an evidence-led strategy and roadmap, and for measuring real change following future updates. All of this analysis will get presented as a 'living map', and reported and shared online using #ArcGIS interactive story maps and dashboards. We can't wait to get started! Working with Emerging Markets Investors and Portfolio Companies to recruit investable leadership.

Prior to founding Triage, the leadership team spent over 25 years in private equity, leading corporate turn arounds, growing early-stage ventures, and startups. Having been where many of our clients are, and experienced the highs and lows in an operating capacity, we are uniquely positioned to support them as they navigate the challenges of today's market. One of our clients recently shared feedback with a similar sentiment: “The Board has never seen recruitment of the calibre of Triage. It is rare to come across an agency that is so profound and in-depth when looking at human resources”. Feedback like this is common, and the reason is very simple.  We know that if we, and our clients, don’t get people right, then we’ll struggle to get anything else right either. The evidence is that most investments, most companies, and most leaders fail. We mitigate our client’s risk of failure by embedding what we do early, underwriting their investment thesis and the company’s strategy to execute it.   In an environment where we are regaled daily with stories of failure, we’d love to share one or two stories of our clients' success.
