According to PwC's 2024 Law Firm Survey, cyber security risk is the number one threat to future growth, with 90% of Top 100 firms either extremely or somewhat concerned that it will impact future ambitions over the next two years. From connected devices to hybrid working, phishing scams to the increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence, the potential of cyber threats to firms is growing. At Totum, we’re seeing firms increasingly looking to strengthen IT Security controls and teams, recruiting for roles like Security Operations Manager, IT Security Managers, Security Architecture and Cyber Security Analysts. Alongside this, firms are also expanding their information security teams internally, with positions falling outside of IT departments such as: InfoSec Analyst, InfoSec Managers and Head of Information Security – covering Governance, Risk and Compliance. Increasingly, candidates want to know more about a firm’s culture and the action it takes to create an inclusive environment.
