About us
The Tim Henman Foundation is a UK-wide charity improving the mental health as well as physical health of disadvantaged children & young people by creating sporting and educational opportunities together with our partners. Set up in 2015 by Tim Henman, a British former professional tennis player, our sports programmes break down access and financial barriers to give young people the opportunity to participate and progress. Our education programmes provide opportunities to students who require extra support and young people who wish to progress in sports as their career path. We also provide financial assistance in the form of grants to charities and registered community organisations supporting disadvantaged young people. These grants can be for specific projects, specialist equipment or capital projects. “I feel very fortunate to have been given opportunities in my life. That is not the case for everyone. Through our work at the Tim Henman Foundation, we would like to provide as many opportunities for as many disadvantaged young people as possible in sport, education and health.
