The introduction of diesel trucks, however, marked a seismic shift. 🚛 We adapted swiftly, transitioning from coachmen to drivers, veterinarians to mechanics, and horse boxes to garages. We outline our sustainability transition strategy, starting with a deep dive into our purpose and stakeholder priorities. This led to our double materiality matrix, assessing impacts on both stakeholders and our business, helping us identify core priorities. To understand our materialities, we engaged with stakeholders to learn what they consider important for Ziegler. We identified five groups and collected their feedback: 🛒 Customers and Consumers: Our reason for existing, meeting their needs ensures our success. 🤝 Suppliers: Essential for providing products and services necessary for our operations. 💼 Owners, Financial Partners, and Shareholders: Focused on the long-term security of their investments. 👥 Employees and Partners: The lifeblood of our operations, providing crucial feedback for growth. 🏛️ Society: Governments, educational institutions, and media, whose concerns we incorporate into our decisions. From these, we identified key topics for both society and Ziegler, with the highest impact being CO2 emissions. The highest impact on both society and Ziegler’s business is CO2 emissions (measuring and reducing them). ✅ Business Impact: Reducing CO2 requires investments but avoids higher taxes and customer loss. ✅ Societal Impact: For a transportation company, reducing CO2 emissions is crucial for societal well-being. There are four levels of ambitions: 1️⃣  𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 This is the most basic level, where we comply with current regulations to avoid penalties and additional taxes. 2️⃣ 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚-𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Here, we aim to go beyond just avoiding negative consequences.
