The Grieving Pint are #hiring and are actively seeking a new director to lead the organisation for the foreseeable future. Following off a hugely successful first half of 2024, with the McColl's Brewery Mayday project and BBC News article, this is a very exciting opportunity. #mentalhealth #leadership #tgp

It is time for change. Young men feel the constant pressure to appear ok, to suppress emotion in order to conform to societal expectations, to say, “I am ok” when in reality we may be anything but. Through the years we have reinforced a notion that to talk openly about difficulties is weak, so much so that the mental health of younger men is in crisis. This video depicts the difficulties men may face, and silence they choose instead of feeling open to talk. We aim to change this, to change how young men view themselves, their mental health and those around them. To start conversations, equipping them with the confidence to talk and to get help. The Grieving Pint is aspiring to provide a space and content through various mediums, to encourage men and their peers to be open about mental health, along with promoting collective and responsible drinking. We aim to end the silent struggle of men in our society and give them the confidence to start #talkingtodaytosavetomorrow. TGP would like to thank Mood Films for their inspirational work and collaboration on this project, along with all the individuals who were involved with this production. In particular, Louis Jones who used his own experiences surrounding mental health, and passion for filmmaking to shed a light on such a key societal issue. Growing up, Louis experienced severe bullying leading to years of battling low self-esteem, social anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. In order to emphasise the critical need for change Louis self-funded this short film, while launching Mood Films, a company keen to transform ideas from good causes into cinematic and compelling video content. Please, if you have a moment visit their page and read their motivation behind the production and their work. For more in detailed information regarding the project please visit the link in our bio. #universitymentalhealthday #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mensmentalhealth

It’s a New Year and a new look for The Grieving Pint ! I am pleased to share our new logo, thoughtfully designed by Joe Hirst. Centralising the pint glass and the overlaid conversation, this logo epitomises what The Grieving Pint is all about, so thank you Joe Hirst. In 2024, we are looking forward to continuing our important mission of providing young men the opportunity to speak about their mental health, epitomised by our new tagline: Talking today to save tomorrow. #mensmentalhealth #branding #newlogo #TGP #mentalhealthawareness

It gives The Grieving Pint enormous pleasure to share this incredible fundraising activity by Gabi Taranto! In February, Gabi Taranto is competing in a 19.7 km open water swim from Perth to Rottnest island 🇦🇺! In taking on this remarkable challenge she is fundraising for The Grieving Pint and we couldn't be more grateful. Gabi states "I would appreciate your support of helping me raise funds to see TGP grow, thrive and achieve their mission of creating a culture for men to speak about their mental wellbeing in a world where it is currently not spoken about enough." Please see below the link to the Go Fund Me and the only thing left to say is: Good luck Gabi! 🏊♀️ https://gofund.me/1cb530c1

We are extremely proud to be involved with the Men and Boys Coalition and look forward to further strengthening of our bonds within the sector!
It was a huge privilege to be at at the National conference on Men’s health in Manchester last week, hosted by the Men and Boys Coalition. I am very grateful to Mark Brooks OBE and Ally Fogg who did a splendid job in organising and hosting the event. The day provided an incredible forum of discussion between leading Men’s mental health organisations including #ANDYSMANCLUB and Talk Club. They are huge inspirations to myself and The Grieving Pint, and they both deservedly picked up a couple of awards! The main takeaway was a sense of togetherness in the sector and more importantly how it is not ok to not be ok!

Introducing the team working with The Grieving Pint, run by Ben Mason (A final year Bristol Student) 🌿 The Grieving Pint is a Men's Mental health charity that encourages young men to open up about issues that they are facing, mainly through organised events, socials and posting advice. Through providing a forum for men to discuss sensitive topics, it allows for a more open conversation around something as important as mental health. We are really excited to see the amazing work that will be happening here and will keep you updated throughout the project cycle! Hope your weekend is going great and have a productive start to the week! The 180DC Bristol team 🍀 💚 #charity #mentalhealth #bristol #community
