As many students leave Cambridge for the summer, here are some intriguing facts about a serene Robinson College, Cambridge 👇 👑 It's the youngest College at Cambridge, formally opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1981. 🏫 The College was the first undergraduate college to be opened as co-educational from its beginning. 🥊 Their chaplain runs therapy boxing classes for students and staff, and it's now one of the College's most popular sports. 📷 Lloyd Mann #CambridgePhotography #RobinsonCollege #CambridgeUniversity #CambridgeUni #Cambridge #UniversityOfCambridge

Congratulations to Lowena Hull who has just graduated from Robinson College with a First Class degree in Natural Sciences (Materials Science). Lowena matriculated in 2020 and whilst COVID meant her start to University of Cambridge was initially a rocky one, she soon found Robinson’s cosy and warm environment helped support her into University life. Under the brilliant supervision of Robinson’s Director of Studies, Dr Bill Nolan, Lowena flourished amongst a great community of fellow Nat Sci students. She particularly enjoyed being inspired by other women with a love for STEM, something she hadn’t experienced prior to Cambridge. Encouraged by this network of support Lowena’s grades improved year on year, achieving a fantastic second place in the year in her degree. Outside of academic life Lowena took up rowing whilst at Robinson. She found the Robinson College boat club a brilliant place to learn, supportive, fun and inclusive, particularly for someone who hasn’t rowed before. By her final year Lowena was Captain of the women’s team. (📸 W1 (Women’s first) boat celebrating getting a new boat during Easter term whilst Lowenna was Captain) Lowena is looking forward to a well deserved break this summer before taking up a job in Risk at PwC Congratulations to Lowena and all our 2024 graduates! #CambridgeUniversity #NaturalSciences #ApplyingToCambridge
