  • Since completing her Robotic Surgical Fellowship at Royal Marsden NHS Trust, Dr Eva Bolton is one of the new generation of surgeons who is taking their expertise beyond The Royal Marsden. Launched in 2017, the Robotic Surgery Fellowship programme provides the opportunity for surgeons to be trained to use the Charity-funded da Vinci Xi surgical robots. The programme is vital in ensuring the skills and knowledge learnt at The Royal Marsden are shared across the UK and around the world to transform the lives of even more cancer patients. Will you help support the training of the next generation of robotic surgeons? https://bit.ly/469mXYt

  • The latest series of #SuperSurgeons featured surgical teams working on sarcoma; a rare form of cancer which can occur anywhere in the body. To be able to treat complex cancers like this, surgeons must use pioneering approaches to treatment. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity funds research and state-of-the-art equipment to make these pioneering techniques possible for cancer patients at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and globally. Professor Andy Hayes is one of our Super Surgeons at The Royal Marsden specialising in sarcoma. We caught up with him about why he decided to get involved with the series. 📽️

  • #SuperSurgeons is just a snapshot of the pioneering research, techniques and equipment being used to treat cancer patients at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust every day as well as around the world. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity has funded surgical robots, research, and fellowships which contribute to the pioneering surgical techniques, shown in the latest series of Super Surgeons. These techniques are then used all over the world. We asked some of the #SuperSurgeons featured in the series what they think is next for the future of cancer surgery. 📽️

  • On Wimbledon finals weekend, we’re delighted that Ralph Lauren are continuing their support for us through The Championships. This weekend, they are giving out strawberries and cream at their onsite store at Wimbledon for a suggested donation to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity 🍓 We’re so grateful that Royal Marsden NHS Trust patients and staff had the chance to join the Ralph Lauren team at Wimbledon last week as part of our partnership, which is now in its 11th year. We have loved looking at memories of the day taken by our guests! #PinkPony

‘It was truly an unforgettable day. The opportunity to attend such a prestigious event was a huge privilege, and I am deeply thankful to have been invited. The atmosphere, the matches, and the company made it a day to remember. As a patient of The Royal Marsden, which has been instrumental in my treatment for stage 4 cancer, this partnership holds a profound significance for me. Ralph Lauren’s support for this vital cause is deeply touching and impactful.’ Last week, we were honoured to be part of the first day of The Championships at Wimbledon thanks to our wonderful partner Ralph Lauren. Leanne, patient at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust was one of the patient guests invited to join the Ralph Lauren team there, alongside members of hospital staff, for a very special day of tennis ❤️ Ralph Lauren are generously donating to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity for every guest they host at Wimbledon throughout the tournament, continuing their longstanding commitment to us through their global #PinkPony initiative.

  • “The team around me is always absolutely vital.” Mr Asif Chaudry, oesophageal and gastric cancer surgeon at the Royal Marsden. In the latest episode of #SuperSurgeons we see Mr Chaudry tackle a complex surgery with the support of the surgical team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. “For a complex operation, we might have ten people or more in the operating theatre. Every member of that team is essential to delivering a safe operation. And the success as a whole depends on all of those individuals coming together.” By supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, you are helping us to fund pioneering research and state-of-the-art equipment to change the lives of cancer patients. We asked Mr Chaudry about his work at The Royal Marsden. Here’s what he had to say 📽️
