This months Graduate Spotlight short interview is with Alessandro Primavera, our Event Sales Graduate at The Landmark London. ✨ What is the role you play as part of The Landmark London team? "Within my role I strive to provide the best possible service to both clients and guests that are looking to host events here at The Landmark London and perhaps develop a business relationship that can drive revenue for the hotel. My responsibility at the moment involve both assisting my colleagues with legal agreements such as contracts as well as taking part in the sales activities such as responding to our enquiries and following up with our clients." ✨ What skills have you learnt whilst being at the hotel? "The Landmark London has truly been the best starting point for my career since I have graduated Oxford University. I am extremely grateful to have been able to be part of three different teams since I started more than 2 years ago. I started my graduate scheme within the Front Office team where I learnt how to interact with guests in a professional environment and develop strong problem solving skills. Following the Front Office experience I moved to the Executive Offices where I have joined the Reservations team, thanks to this experience I learned many more insights into the sales skills needed to drive revenue to the hotel and working under pressure. Lastly, I have joined the Event Sales team where I have met fantastic colleagues and management team, within this team I am able to truly put myself forward and develop individually in terms of sales and organisational skills." ✨ Would you recommend joining The Landmark London team to anyone thinking of joining the hospitality industry? "Absolutely! The Landmark London is like a big family, everyone is extremely helpful and kind. This hotel is great workplace with many career opportunities for all levels!" We raised £107,000 for Cure Leukaemia on Thursday so thank you to everyone who bid or donated. The room was full of other stars including jermaine defoe, Martin O'Neil, Mark Pougatch, Clive Tyldesley, Tony Woodcock, Christine Ohuruogu, Simon Shaw MBE, Mark Bright, Clinton Morrison, Steve Claridge, Lee Hendrie and Dr Hilary Jones. Natalie Sawyer hosted some great cameo interviews and we also had Geoff Thomas MBE up on stage talking about his career, times with Gareth and his successful battle against Leukaemia, followed by Cure Leukaemia Founder Charlie Craddock and CEO James McLaughlin.
