The power of sport to bring communities together... With a bespoke Summer of Sport set design, LED branded bar and giant screen, The Leadenhall Building was the place to be last night as England booked their place in the Euros2024 Final with a 2-1 victory over the Netherlands. ⚡ Team TIC Spotlight ⚡ We welcomed Elizabeth Bloomer to our team as an Event Executive a few months back. With a quirky background in theatre and circus making (that’s right, they ran away from the circus and joined our events team), you can find them flying across our projects this summer. Here are a few things that make them ‘TIC’ (…sorry not sorry) ✅ Favourite Event Coming from the theatre/circus world – my favourite event was the Scarabaeus Aerial Theatre “Emerging/Emerged” Commission – At the end of 2022 we were commissioned to create three new works from trans and non-binary artists, performed at Jacksons Lane alongside a viewing of “Emerging” a highly personal performance around the relationship between a trans son and his mother. This was a beautiful project to collaborate on involving circus, dance and theatre. It was incredibly touching watching other performer’s stories about being trans and/or non-binary. ✅ Fun Fact After finishing a circus degree, you can find me outside of the office hanging upside down as a circus artist and as a Drag King Performer. ✅ Greatest ‘Out of Office’ Achievement This was moving far across the pond in my early 20s to Australia after saying ‘yes’ to an artistic director job in Sydney, then leaving for Brisbane and setting up a physical theatre company with no know-how, zero funding, and few friends. Over the past decade, I’ve gotten to create some incredible work and be a part of a fabulous community of physical theatre and circus creators/performers who I am eternally thankful for. Izzy, it's lovely to have you on the team 🎪 💜

Last month our Co-Founder Alasdair Moore and Event Executive Izzy joined the team from Checking-In LGBT Network - the network of LGBTQ professionals and their allies in the Hospitality Industry - to mark the launch of the 2024 LGBTQ Hospitality Champions List, celebrating those who are making the Industry more inclusive to both colleagues and guests. June is celebrated as Pride Month in the UK (indeed, Pride in London is tomorrow!), and initiatives like this from Checking-In LGBT Network remind us of the importance of continuing these conversations, and celebrating this work, all year round. Congrats to this year's LGBTQ Hospitality Champions, and thank you for the work you do! 🌈 Check out the link in the comments for full details. #LGBTQHospitality #PrideMonthUK #InclusiveIndustry #HospitalityChampions #CheckingINUK #DiversityAndInclusion #CelebratePride #LGBTQAllies

⚡ Team TIC Spotlight ⚡ We welcomed Pheona Kidd to our team as Senior Event Manager earlier this year. With fantastic experience in operations and event production (and as we'll hear, dance...), naturally she has found herself leading on some incredible projects (.. more on those another time.) We took a couple of minutes to find out what makes her 'TIC' (... still never sorry). ✅ Favourite Event With a 24-year career in Theatre and arts production I find it so hard to narrow it down to one event as I have had so many great experiences. I have worked with everything from laser eating squirrels and upside-down houses to everyone from the late Queen to Basil Brush. Some stand out moments for me have been working as a mentor for young artists and producers during my time at the Barbican and being part of a small team responsible for the first free public arts programme on the Barbican Foyers. However, you can't beat the buzz of a big theatre opening press night with lots of celebs and a big champagne budget!! ✅ Fun Fact Harry Hill once asked me to be the back end of a horse for the curtain call of his show for £20. I sadly had to refuse as I was Theatre Manager that night and there was nowhere to clip my radio. ✅ Greatest 'Out of Office' Achievement I once did a 10-day trek through the Jungle in Thailand to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis and survived!! For someone so accident prone, this is an achievement, there were a few hairy moments. Oh, I'm also very proud of my trophy for Hip Hop and Body Pop Pairs Winners 1986 to Venus by Bananrama!! It's brilliant to have you on board Phe! 🐴 💃 🐿 #WelcomeAboard #NewTeamMember #SeniorEventManager #IntrepidCollective #EventPlanningExpert #MeetOurManager #TeamGrowth #ExcitingTimes
