📢 The new Government must listen to the leaders of tomorrow. Our Youth Voices research involved over 3,000 14-24 year olds from across the UK, seeking their views on the issues that matter most to them politically and personally. Our new Government has an unmissable opportunity to make sure young people are heard, by introducing a clear process to involve youth voices in every level of policy and decision-making. This week we celebrated the launch of our #YouthVoices24 research 🎉 Our launch event brought together MPs, peers and our youth charity partners, who all share the belief that young people should be at the heart of policy-making. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported amplifying young voices – and to our amazing Award holders who shared their views 📢 🔗 Read Youth Voices 2024: https://lnkd.in/dY7ReSYJ 📸 Susannah Fields

We are hugely grateful to The Julia Rausing Trust for an incredibly generous grant of £1m to support our youth justice work. Julia Rausing was a dedicated philanthropist who cared deeply about opportunities for young people. Julia and Hans’ committed support for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has already enabled hundreds more young people to start a DofE programme and transform their futures. This gift in Julia’s memory will support some of the most marginalised young people in society through our work in the youth justice sector. It will enable us to expand the positive impact we see through our work in prisons by extending our reach to young people leaving prison, those serving their sentence in the community, and those at risk of offending. Through this donation, we will give more young people the chance to complete a life-changing DofE programme, supporting them to build a brighter future for themselves. We are very thankful for this gift and the legacy Julia is leaving. The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust 🔗 https://rb.gy/1tdry9

Exciting announcement 📢 One million young people have started their DofE since 2021 🎉 Back in 2021 we set ourselves the bold target of reaching one million young people by 2026 and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve reached this incredible milestone two years early 🙌 We’d like to shout out our incredible volunteers, DofE Managers and Leaders, staff, and many supporters and partners whose commitment and generosity have powered this success 💜 Our ambition is now to see 1.6 million young people start a DofE programme by spring 2026 – we know with your support, this is possible.
