Hepworth Brewery in West Sussex uses a Futraheat 'Greensteam' high-temperature heat pump to recover waste heat from the brewing process and deliver reusable steam up to 130°C - helping the craft brewer cut costs and carbon emissions. 🍻 “Until now, heat pumps have been both unaffordable and unable to deliver heat at the temperature that the industry requires. This project demonstrates the technology can now be implemented within a brewery." “We’re confident it can then be rolled out across a range of industries, in the UK and worldwide,” says Futraheat CEO Tom Taylor. 🔗 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eZj6Vhxa Futraheat is one of the companies supported by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator and managed by the Carbon Trust. #IndustrialHeat #IndustrialSteam #HeatPumps

Today the UK became the first G7 country to phase out coal, showing that climate policy can drive coal off the system. It is an important milestone that can serve as inspiration for even bolder policies in the UK and across the world which support the rapid uptake of renewables and set the path for a full transition away from fossil fuels used in the energy mix. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gqfFNDmh
