Last night we celebrated all of our finalists at the UK Call Centre Management Association Awards (UKCCMA) 2024. A huge congratulations to Emily Barrett who won gold for Significant Contributor in a Large Contact Centre, Jac Ridley who won gold for Contact Centre Manager of the Year (small) and Ross McHugh who won silver for Learning Manager of the Year! At the end of 2023, The AA colleagues voted for Cancer Research UK as their Charity Partner of the year. Whilst the partnership only started in February 2024, together we have already raised over £40k to support CRUK’s vision of bringing about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. They have delivered a variety of staff engagement events including The AA Walk All Over Cancer which challenges staff to walk 10,000 steps a day, as well as raffles, bake-offs, running marathons and climbing mountains. Their next challenge will be for the Euros 2024 – the Keepy Uppy Challenge. We are delighted to have them as part of our family of Corporate Partners and would like to thank them for all their support.

Proud to launch a trio of fully-electric recovery vehicles. We’re the first UK-based roadside assistance firm to add fully electric recovery vehicles to our fleet. Due to the complex vehicle requirements, we’re taking a “test and scale” approach to fleet decarbonisation with structured tests of alternative fuel vehicles in real-life settings. Today we’re hosting a Fleet Decarbonisation event in Oldbury, unveiling the most recent additions to our 3000-vehicle-strong roadside assistance and recovery fleet. Edmund V King OBE, AA President and Duncan Webb, AA’s head of fleet, will welcome guests from across the motoring world to present an overview of The AA’s Motoring Manifesto, The AA’s latest Environment Social and Governance (ESG) report and our plans to extend our range of low emissions concept vehicles. They will discuss how we plan to navigate our way towards a net zero future before unveiling The AA’s latest electric concept vehicles to the gathered motoring press and fleet suppliers.
