Recently as a quest on the excellent SYNETIQ Let's Talk About EV podcast a theme both Tom Rumboll and I agreed on was the need to make things simple and reduce complexity for consumers thinking about making the switch to EV. To help offset all that off putting tech heavy jargon the ElectriX team have just launched our Electric Car Jargon Buster.

What a fantastic achievement 👏 We are incredibly proud to support The Carbon Literacy Project. Over the last 3 years, we have successfully trained over 560 people, including our team members, clients, partners and local businesses in our community. We were delighted to be awarded Carbon Literacy Gold status earlier this year for training over 50% of our team - and we are still going. Together, we are making a real difference and driving impactful climate action. #CarbonLiteracy #100kCarbonLiterate #achievement

Proud to share that our colleague Jack Simmons is taking his skills to the next level this week completing his Forklift Truck training and also a turn on the Powerhand! 🚜 Keep up the great work, Jack!
Something different this week, Jack got 10 wheels on top of each other then I asked him to put a wheel trim without breaking it onto the top of the 10 wheels. This practice might look easy but it is quite difficult. Great use of the hydraulic controls by Jack.

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of visiting Allye in London, where we toured their impressive facility 👏 We're proud to be part of this innovative group - collaboration is pivotal in ensuring the sustainable management of EV batteries throughout their lifecycle. Special thanks to Jonathan Carrier and the Allye team. Joanne Peterson / Tom Rumboll / #EVs #Sustainability #Collaboration
CEO at Allye Energy. I cover the 4Es: Energy transition, Energy storage, Electric vehicles and EV Charging
Last week Allye had the pleasure of hosting several partners involved in the EV battery supply chain. This consortium has a key role in facilitating the supply, reuse and recycling of EV batteries at every stage of their existence. 🤝 It includes: SYNETIQ, LV=, Toyota Motor Europe, Cox Automotive Inc., Altilium Clean Technology, Halfords Auto Centres, Zenith Vehicles and Sheffield Hallam University. It covers everything from OEMs to Insurers, Leasing providers to Repairers, and Recyclers to Repurposers. We all have a common interest in building a sustainable value chain for EV batteries but from our own unique perspectives. 🔋 The group doesn’t have a formal name yet (more to come on that from the wonderful Lynne Toogood) but we do have a good understanding how we can cooperate to demonstrate the commercial, economic and environmental value of used EV batteries (at whatever stage - new, nearly new, second use, second life etc.). This wouldn’t have started without the foresight and commitment from Tom Rumboll and SYNETIQ ⚡ In addition to our discussions it was great to be able to show our partners the progress we are making at Allye, to underline the collaboration already established with SYNETIQ for EV battery pack testing and sourcing for the Allye MAX.
