Suttons International is thrilled to unveil the two newest additions to our Widnes Depot Lifter fleet!   The names of these high-capacity lifters were chosen by popular vote from colleagues across the entire Suttons International business and pay tribute to two esteemed members of the Widnes depot we lost too soon.   Staff gathered at our Widnes depot for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally introduce the new lifters and honour the memories of our colleagues who are no longer with us.   Named “Big Eric” and “Little Jim” in tribute to workshop workers Eric Hanks and Jim Burke, these brand-new lifters ensure our Widnes depot has the capacity to manage maintenance and service for our international tank container fleet, as well as third-party tanks that utilise our depot services.   These two tank lifters symbolise our continued investment in the business, keeping us at the forefront of our industry and ensuring our fleet operates at the highest levels of safety. #logistics #investment #suttonsinternational #tankcontainer #supplychain

Our Suttons Tankers China team recently visited a local primary School in Shanghai for a traffic safety activity with a group of kindergarten children to help promote safe roadside behaviour as part of our commitment supporting local communities.   Tommy Hu, GM of Suttons Tanker China, led an indoor session on driver visibility, right-turn dangers, and the STOP LOOK WAVE method for safely crossing streets. Outdoors, Suttons members guided children through understanding truck structures and blind spots. The children through understanding the truck's structure, identifying blind spots, and emphasizing safety around trucks. The children then explored the truck cab to understand driver visibility.   We concluded by distributing small gifts to the enthusiastic participants.   At Suttons, we believe in fostering safety and community well-being from an early age. We are excited to announce the strengthening of our fuels business in the Humber region. In line with our commitment to the fuels sector and our strategy to manage our own fuel supply chain, we have secured a supply contract with Harvest Energy to collect fuel directly from their Immingham refinery for our own vehicles based at Suttons Tankers depots located in both Hull and Scunthorpe.   Today marks our first in-house delivery to our Scunthorpe depot under the terms of the supply agreement. A big thank you to Paul Miles at Axis Logistics for his assistance with facilitating driver/terminal training for Suttons drivers and here’s to a successful partnership.
