Shaping a sustainable environment, now!
About us
We are at the dawn of the resource revolution. Faced with global population growth, increasing urbanisation and climate change, it is essential to radically change how our resources are managed and used. SUEZ uses innovation and collaboration to implement smart and sustainable resource management solutions: optimising how water is used thanks to information technologies, creating alternative water resources, recycling and recovering energy from waste. The Group supplies drinking water to 92 million people, provides wastewater treatment services for 65 million people, collects waste from almost 50 million people, recovers 14 million tonnes of waste per year and generates 5,138 GWh of local and renewable energy.

Industry and manufacturing contribute 9.3% of UK GVA and play a crucial role in our continued prosperity. It's now crucial that they look to decarbonise to ensure #climate goals are met and they remain internationally competitive. A new joint briefing, published today and endorsed by major businesses and NGOs from across the sector, outlines the top ten priorities that government must focus on to support this process. Immediate actions include: 🏭 Setting out an ambitious green industrial strategy that includes a plan for the decarbonisation of energy intensive industry and manufacturing. 👨🔧 Commissioning a supply chain and skills capacity assessment to identify the UK’s capability gaps and competitive strengths. ⚡ Establishing a roadmap for industrial electrification that sets out immediate-, medium-, and long-term actions to tackle high electricity prices, capex support and access to grid connections.
