On 13th June we had our biggest ever Unbundling Uncovered USA event in New York, with over 400 delegates in attendance to catch up on what has been an action-packed year for the Investment research industry. The quality of the debate was exceptional, here are some of the key takeaways...
1️⃣💡 Regulatory change in Europe raises the possibility of closer alignment between the US, the UK and the EU, but it’s going to be complicated (of course!)
2️⃣💡In order for there to be a surge in CSA adoption in Europe, the first firms who attempt to return to client-funded research budgets will need to show that the client conversation isn’t going to be painful.
3️⃣💡 AI is transforming the research industry, but generative AI is only one flavour from a variety of tools that firms are developing.
4️⃣💡 The focus on data continues but is evolving from just getting more data to ensuring that the internal infrastructure is in place to extract value from the existing list of vendors.
5️⃣💡 Corporate Access is booming in North America – especially conferences, but don’t forget how valuable NDRs are!
6️⃣💡 The research valuation and budgeting process is going nowhere regardless of potential changes in regulations and funding approach.
