Congratulations are in order for our former Chair Morgan Jones! He was awarded an MBE in the recent Kings’ Birthday Honours list 👏 🎉 Morgan was a Trustee for St Christopher’s from 2002 until 2021, and was recognised by the King for services to people living with a terminal illness and their families ❤️ Morgan said “I am more passionate now about hospice care than when I joined the board all those years ago and I’m immensely proud of all that we have achieved over the years.” During his time at the hospice Morgan led the fundraising of £2.5m for the building our Anniversary Centre which is a central hub at our Sydenham site 👏 He also over saw the creation of the Centre for Awareness and Response to End of Life (CARE) – a £6.5m education facility next to our hospice in Sydenham 👏 So, we of course think this accolade is well deserved! 🌟 Thank you for your continued support Morgan. There is currently an issue affecting IT systems globally. This isn’t affecting our care or clinical record system, however we are unable to access some of the NHS systems. This should not affect the care we provide. If you have any concerns please call us on 020 8768 4500.
