In the next few weeks we're kicking off a piece of work on how tech can accelerate the decarbonisation of the built environment. This is our Built Different campaign. Emissions from the built environment make up around 17% of the UK's annual footprint (sometimes more depending on where you look) but we know that there are founders up and down the country taking on this challenge. With policy support and up to date regs, they could be scaling their impact way quicker. We want to hear from startups and scaleups: 🏗 In construction - reducing the impact of the production of materials for buildings or developing new, cleaner ways to build stuff 🏠 In retrofit and insulation - increasing the efficiency of buildings 📱 Developing apps and services to empower households - whether its plugging into smart metres, supporting with intelligent heating or something else The Labour Government will be kicking off its Warm Homes Plan shortly and we want to ensure technology and innovation can be a key part in its success. Get in touch to get involved.
