Earlier this week Rachel and Susan, from our #Bradford Supported Living service enjoyed a day Farmer Copleys They had a great time, they enjoyed lunch, had an ice cream and picked strawberries. It was lovely and sunny too. At St Anne's we love to support people to do the things they enjoy, this is person-centred care. #care #support #charity #team #personcentredcare

About us
St Anne’s Community provides a wide range of quality services for people who require support. We work with people who have a learning disability, have mental health problems, have issues around substance use – drugs and/or alcohol – or who are or have been homeless. Services include a variety of housing and accommodation based support and care, day services and community based support. St Anne’s Community Services is a major provider of services across the whole of Yorkshire and the North East. Established in 1971, this Leeds based charity, with our headquarters on St Mark’s Avenue, has expanded over the last 48 years and now is a major provider with services across Yorkshire, The Humber and the North East of England. We support hundreds of people and employ upwards of 1500 staff. The people we support are at the heart of everything we do and we aim to make a positive difference to their lives. We are innovative in approach and have never lost focus in our sim to strive to constantly improve and design pioneering approaches to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable members of our society.

The house meal at our Kendal Lane service this month was a MacDonald's style 'Fakeaway Breakfast Muffin Brunch'. The team toasted breakfast muffins with hash browns, sausage patties, eggs, cheese slices, and bacon. Topped off with either tomato or BBQ sauce and a cold glass of orange juice to wash it all down with. Everyone said it was fantastic. Curtis also commented that he thought the eggs were better than the real deal, as they had runny yolks which he really likes. #team #support #charity #care #Leeds

Josh from our Leeds Mental Health Service had a fantastic holiday in Scarborough with his outreach worker Carl. They spent their time in the arcades, eating fish and chips and cruising on an open-top bus. #holiday #care #support #charity #scarborough

Our Kendal Lane team and clients have been working on the garden. From the proceeds of St Anne's colleagues buying Positive Potatoes, they have been able to buy artificial grass. They also had some furniture donated, and Curtis and Wai Lin went to get flowers with Michele (staff). They have then planted these with Bumble and Laddi (the Gnomes) supervising. The service is super excited to get a BBQ next and grill up some burgers and sausages while they still have summer! Pictured are the before and after photos - it looks AMAZING! #care #support #charity

The clients at our Hartwell Road service #Leeds enjoyed their first #BBQ of the year yesterday. They had been waiting for a bit of sun, so they took the chance and the sun came out, and it was well worth it as the food was gorgeous. Hopefully, this is the first of many BBQs this summer. #care #support #charity

Clients from our Kendal Lane Service had a day trip to York on Saturday. Thankfully, the sun came out and they had a lovely time visiting York Minster and looking around all the shops. Lunch was in a quaint little café which everyone enjoyed. Souvenirs were bought and a York postcard, which will be the start of their 'Places Visited Wall'. The next trip will be to the seaside! #care #leeds #York #charity
