#AdvancedPhotonics and #APNexus welcome submissions to a joint theme issue on Solar and Thermal Photonics. "As energy demands increase and energy resources diminish, one source of energy remains unlimited, omnipresent, and ubiquitous: solar/thermal radiation... For this special joint theme issue, we welcome papers in a diverse area of photonics, spanning the visible and infrared spectrum of radiation, with a focus on energy harvesting and related applications." "Cellino’s approach fuses expertise in stem cell biology, laser physics, and machine learning to scale up the cell production process so that it can be offered to far more people than is currently possible." Former #SPIE #StartupChallenge winner, Cellino, was selected to lead a $25M project to increase stem cell production. They are attempting to automate the typically labor-intensive process with laser-based cell management. Learn more about this development and hear how Cellino CEO, Nabiha Saklayen, responded to the award here: https://lnkd.in/gWxA6BEZ
