  • 🖤2024 BTCC battle resumes at Croft in North Yorkshire this weekend ❤️Circuit has been ‘happy hunting-ground’ for Huff in seasons past 🖤‘Optimistic’ Watson ‘itching’ to go racing again after summer break TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK duo Rob Huff and Andrew Watson are heading north to Croft for the resumption of the 2024 British Touring Car Championship campaign this weekend (27-28 July), with their sights solidly set on conquering the circuit’s unique challenge.   Located just outside of Darlington, Croft has been a mainstay on the BTCC schedule since 1997, with the Toyota Corolla GR Sport triumphing there in 2020 – the seventh of the Speedworks Motorsport-prepared hot hatch’s 15 victories to-date. 👀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eii3hEsm Rob Huff - Andrew Watson - Toyota (GB) plc - Fullriver Battery USA - Howdens - FUCHS UK - Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC - Teng Tools UK & Ireland - Goodridge Ltd - Witham Motorsport - Vinyl Detail Ltd - Fewkes Sport Management - MBP - Immico Ltd - Cobra Seats Ltd - Autoglym #BTCC #Motorsport #Toyota #AndrewWatson #RobHuff

  • ‼️Toyota duo dig deep for hard-fought points haul at Oulton‼️ 🖤Rob Huff and Andrew Watson tally top ten finishes in Cheshire ❤️Toyota scoops Manufacturers’ trophy in second race of weekend 🖤Speedworks-run squad vows to ‘come back stronger’ at Croft TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK duo Rob Huff and Andrew Watson concluded the opening half of the 2024 British Touring Car Championship campaign with a clutch of points-scoring finishes at Oulton Park last weekend (22-23 June) on Speedworks Motorsport’s home soil.   After putting 70 laps on the board between them during the two free practice sessions around the undulating Cheshire circuit, the pair proceeded to qualify 11th (Huff) and 14th (Watson) amongst the 20 high-calibre contenders in the country’s premier motor racing series.   Both drivers bolted on the harder of the two Goodyear tyre options for the curtain-raising contest, in order to get them out of the way before switching to the faster soft-compound rubber for the remainder of the day. Having deployed his razor-sharp reactions to avoid a stricken Colin Turkington directly ahead of him on the grid, former FIA World Touring Car Champion Huff went on to register his eighth top ten finish of the season, running in close company with fellow Toyota driver Aiden Moffat throughout.   In the sister red, white and black, British-built Corolla GR Sport, Watson unfortunately picked up a five-second penalty for a false start that restricted him to 14th in the classification, but that did not stop the 29-year-old Northern Irishman from showcasing his skills by pulling off a tremendously brave pass on Mikey Doble on the blast from Knickerbrook up to Druids at two-thirds distance. 👀Read more here: https://lnkd.in/exJRWmPf Rob Huff - Andrew Watson - Howdens - Fullriver Battery USA - ABS Motorsports - FUCHS UK - Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC - Teng Tools UK & Ireland - Goodridge Ltd - Witham Motorsport - NICKY GRIST MOTORSPORTS LIMITED - Vinyl Detail Ltd - Fewkes Sport Management - MBP - Immico Group - Cobra Seats Ltd - Autoglym #BTCC #Sports #motorsport #engineering

  • 🏆Cook plays his cards right in Cheshire to return to winning ways🏆 🩶Toyota star steers his Corolla to commanding victory at Oulton Park 💛Former Independents’ champion toasts 19th career triumph in BTCC 🩶Moffat showcases overtaking skills to battle back from misfortune Josh Cook became the third Toyota driver to win a race in the British Touring Car Championship in 2024 last weekend (22-23 June), as the LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ star expertly exploited an alternative tyre strategy at Oulton Park in Cheshire to tally the 19thvictory of his career in the country’s premier motor racing series.   Ahead of the event, Cook took a trip to Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s nearby Deeside engine plant, and after completing 62 laps of Oulton’s undulating 2.23-mile layout between them during free practice, he and team-mate Aiden Moffat progressed safely through the first part of qualifying – the Scot setting a ‘purple’ middle sector time along the way.   They remained evenly-matched in Q2 to secure tenth (Cook) and 12th (Moffat) spots on the grid amongst the 20 high-calibre contenders, separated by a scant 0.126 seconds. Rolling the dice by electing to bolt on the slower hard-compound tyres in order to get them out of the way early on, they moved forward to finish respectively eighth and ninth in the curtain-raising contest, with Cook barely half-a-second shy of winning the ‘hard tyre race’.   If that represented a solid start, then what followed was inspired. Having ditched his hard rubber for the faster soft variety, the 33-year-old Bath-born ace gained three places to fifth by threading his way carefully through a first corner fracas in race two that left one car stranded broadside across the track and sent others scattering this way and that in avoidance. 👀Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eaJSn7q4 Josh Cook - Aiden Moffat - Euro Car Parts Ltd. - SYNETIQ - Toyota (GB) plc

  • 🏆 Trophies the target for LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ at Oulton Park 🏆 🩶Race-winning team has more silverware in its sights on home soil 💛Josh Cook a big fan of Cheshire circuit’s ‘relentless’ nature 🩶Aiden Moffat expects hybrid and tyre choices to ‘mix things up’ Thruxton earlier this month was the first time LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ has not concluded a British Touring Car Championship event with at least one trophy in 2024 – but Josh Cook and Aiden Moffat are determined to return to podium-finishing form at Oulton Park this weekend (22-23 June).   The undulating Cheshire circuit is arguably the one the team knows best of all. It is, after all, home soil for Speedworks Motorsport, whose workshop is located less than ten miles up the road in nearby Northwich. That will serve as added motivation for a strong showing, with the British-built Toyota Corolla GR Sport having already proven itself as a race-winner at Oulton in 2021.    Cook will travel to the track sitting sixth in the Drivers’ standings in the UK’s premier motor racing series approaching the midway stage of the campaign, after scoring in all-bar one of the 12 races to-date.   The 33-year-old Bath-born ace – like Speedworks, twice an Independents’ champion in the BTCC – triumphed on the road at Oulton in 2020 only for his car to fail the subsequent ride-height checks, but he battled to a podium finish there two years later and was never outside the top seven at the circuit last summer.   Three spots further back in the title table, team-mate Moffat has achieved 15 points finishes in Cheshire – eight of them inside the top ten – and the Scot scooped the runner-up spoils at Oulton in 2022. The 27-year-old Dalkeith native scythed his way from 15th up to sixth in the final race there last season, posting the fastest Independent lap along the way.   Aiden Moffat - Josh Cook - Euro Car Parts Ltd. - SYNETIQ - Toyota (GB) plc 👀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eDWN-mGb #BTCC #Motorsport #automotive

  • ‘Old school’ Oulton Park challenge awaits TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK 🖤 Rob Huff relishing BTCC’s ‘fast-and-furious’ rollercoaster ride ❤️ Andrew Watson aiming to ‘scoop some serious points’ 🖤 Undulating Cheshire circuit is home turf for Speedworks-run squad TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK is heading to picturesque Oulton Park for the next instalment in the 2024 British Touring Car Championship campaign this weekend (22-23 June), with its sights firmly set on conquering the circuit’s notorious ‘old-school’ nature.   Located just east of Chester, Oulton is familiar territory indeed for Speedworks Motorsport – the team behind TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK’s BTCC effort – with its workshop based less than ten miles up the road in nearby Northwich.    Despite that proximity, the two-time Independents’ title-winning outfit was frequently out-of-luck there until 2021, when Rory Butcher ended its home soil hoodoo with a commanding victory behind the wheel of the British-built Toyota Corolla GR Sport, backing that up with another podium performance ten months later. The team tallied a further six points-scoring finishes around the undulating and challenging 2.23-mile layout last year.   TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK’s current drivers Rob Huff and Andrew Watson have similarly enjoyed plenty of success at Oulton in seasons past. Former FIA World Touring Car Champion Huff reached the rostrum there in Renault Clios in 2002, before triumphing at the track on his way to clinching the SEAT CUPRA Championship crown in 2003. 👀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eiY4jZKv Rob Huff - Andrew Watson - Toyota (GB) plc - Fullriver Battery USA - Howdens - ABS Motorsports - FUCHS UK - Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC - Teng Tools UK & Ireland - Goodridge Ltd - Witham Motorsport - NICKY GRIST MOTORSPORTS LIMITED - Vinyl Detail Ltd - Fewkes Sport Management - MBP - Immico Group - Cobra Seats Ltd - Autoglym #motorsport #BTCC #sports #sportsmarketing #Toyota #TOYOTAGAZOORacingUK

  • ‼️ TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK take the points on trying weekend at Thruxton 🖤Rob Huff showcases his bravery and skill around Britain’s fastest circuit ❤️Andrew Watson battles back from misfortune in Hampshire – twice 🖤Home soil next for Cheshire-based outfit as BTCC heads for Oulton Park TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK battled hard in the British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton last weekend (8-9 June), as Rob Huff and Andrew Watson gritted their teeth for a solid points haul around the fastest circuit in the country.   Buoyed by his maiden victory of the campaign on home soil at Snetterton a fortnight earlier, Huff – whose most ‘recent’ visit to Thruxton, back in 2010, had yielded a hat-trick of triumphs in the Ginetta G50 Cup – was aiming to keep his momentum flowing around the high-speed Hampshire track. A big slide in the first part of qualifying, however, saw him knocked out late in Q1, missing the cut by less than a tenth-of-a-second and restricting him to 13th on the grid in the UK’s premier motorsport series.   👀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/evkSJHCr Rob Huff - Andrew Watson - Fullriver Battery USA - Howdens - FUCHS UK - ABS Motorsports - Toyota Financial Services Corporation - Teng Tools UK & Ireland - Goodridge Ltd - Witham Motorsport - NICKY GRIST MOTORSPORTS LIMITED - Vinyl Detail Ltd - Fewkes Sport Management - MBP - Immico Group - Cobra Seats Ltd - Autoglym #BTCC #Motorsport #sports

  • 🖤Front-running duo ready to put it all on the line around country’s quickest circuit ❤️Speedworks Motorsport-prepared Corolla already a multiple winner in Hampshire 🖤TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK keen to maintain positive recent momentum Fresh off the back of its first victory of the 2024 British Touring Car Championship campaign at Snetterton last month, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK is headed for Hampshire this weekend (8-9 June) as the team bids to continue its winning ways around the fastest circuit in the country – Thruxton.   Built on the site of a wartime airfield that played a role in the D-Day landings, Thruxton’s 2.37 miles of unforgiving asphalt generate the highest speeds of the season, with drivers hitting an eye-watering 160mph around the back of the lap, the majority of which is spent in either fifth or sixth-gear.   The track’s succession of flat-out corners places the priority on a capable chassis, and demonstrating its first-class dynamics, theBritish-built, Speedworks Motorsport-prepared Toyota Corolla GR Sport triumphed twice at Thruxton in 2020, tallying further good results in subsequent seasons.   Former FIA World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff – the architect of that magnificent charge through the field from 14th on the grid to the top step of the podium a week-and-a-half ago – reached the rostrum in Hampshire in Renault Clios back in 2002. He shone there again the following year to pip future three-time BTCC champion Gordon Shedden to the SEAT CUPRA Championship crown, which proved to be the Cambridgeshire ace’s passport into the big-time.    👀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e3nWT5qd #BTCC #Motorsport Toyota (GB) plc - Fullriver Battery USA - Howdens - ABS Motorsports - FUCHS UK - Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC - Teng Tools UK & Ireland - Goodridge Ltd - Witham Motorsport - NICKY GRIST MOTORSPORTS LIMITED - Vinyl Detail Ltd - Fewkes Sport Management - MBP - Rob Huff - Andrew Watson - Immico Group - Cobra Seats Ltd - Autoglym

  • 🏆 Cook and Moffat conquer changeable conditions to shine at Snetterton 🏆 🩶LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ duo on fine form in third outing of season 💛Cook and Moffat exploit alternative tyre strategy to scythe through the spray 🩶British-built Toyota Corolla GR Sport proves its prowess come rain and shine The weather threw everything it could at competitors in the third outing of the 2024 British Touring Car Championship campaign at Snetterton, but LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ duo Josh Cook and Aiden Moffat conquered the conditions to come away with a clutch of trophies on an historic weekend for Toyota (25-26 May).   Behind the wheel of his Toyota Corolla GR Sport, Cook advanced to the ‘Quick Six’ in qualifying for the second consecutive event. A spin late in the session denied the two-time BTCC Independents’ champion a potential front row grid slot – underscoring the raw pace of the British-built hot hatch – but sixth position nonetheless kept him firmly in the hunt, with Scottish stablemate Moffat a little further back in 17th. 👀Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gijFE8f4 Euro Car Parts Ltd. - SYNETIQ - Aiden Moffat - Josh Cook - Toyota (GB) plc #BTCC #motorsport #Toyota #Corolla

  • 🏁 Speedworks Motorsport is thrilled to kick off the 2024 McLaren Trophy season at the 2.626-mile Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy! 🏁 On Saturday 18th May, drivers Fiona James and Jayden Kelly qualified P9 for the first race of the season after suffering from brake issues meaning they were unable to set a flying lap. Despite race one being Fiona’s first race in the McLaren Artura, she put on an impressive charge up to P5 before handing over to Jayden, who was closing the gap to P4 before he had to retire the car with the return of the brake issues.  Determined to bounce back, Sunday saw a fantastic qualifying effort secure a spot on the front row for race two. In only his second race in a car, having just graduated from karts, Jayden took the lead before the end of the first lap but dropped back to P2 after being overtaken by a more experienced driver. He reclaimed the lead with a decisive move up the inside and led for many laps before a mistake caused him to drop back.  We’re excited to build on this momentum and can’t wait to be back with the McLaren Trophy paddock next month at the historic Spa 24 Hour race, where we’ll be aiming for trophies and points! 🏆🏁💨 Danny Buxton, Head of Motorsport at Speedworks Motorsport “It wasn’t an easy weekend in Misano, but we came away with a lot of positives, including strong on-track performances. This was Fiona’s first race in the McLaren Artura and Jayden's first race in a car after moving up from karts, and both showed impressive pace with Jayden receiving the Driver of the Weekend Award. We're excited to build on this momentum and can’t wait to be back with the McLaren Trophy paddock next month at the historic Spa 24 Hour race, where we’ll be aiming for trophies and points!” #SpeedworksMotorsport #McLarenTrophy #Motorsport #Racing #McLaren #GTRacing Meeting, Event & Travel Planning with Hilton - Walero Motorsports - Fiona James - MBP
