We’re constantly making Speckle faster, better and easier to use. And when it comes to its design, we went all in. Say hello to Michał, Speckle’s Product Designer. Before joining us, Michal was the design lead at Archilogic. There he was building a platform for keeping floor plans up-to-date in the most human way. 😮 Prior to Archilogic, he was head of design at GOG, a sister company to CD Projekt Red gaming studio. Michal and his team worked on a game launcher for the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. “Within twelve hours after its release, the game had over one million concurrent players on the Steam gaming platform. It's really cool – Keanu Reeves has a starring role in it”, recalls Michal. Speckle’s new designer is also an outdoorsy guy, usually riding a drop-bar bike on unpaved roads. ⭕So we've been thinking about this and wanted to share because it's important. Is Excel the absolute bee's knees? No. But are we aware that many AEC professionals can't go a week without using it, often with a massive frown on their face? Yes. That’s why Speckle also connects with Excel data. To give support. And that support is needed a lot more than the basically unattainable "this sucks, therefore just stop using it" approach. The world does not work like that. All of our app connectors were born out of that same idea: ☝🏻The tool you use is not ideal, but you've put a lot of time (and data) into it, so the fastest way to a better workflow is not by learning how to use completely new tools.
