When assembling a Ways of Working team, it is helpful to align on the language to be used with colleagues and peers when describing cross-functional teams of teams, and the organisational implications of a focus on value and a focus on flow. Without this alignment we find that each individual comes with their own context, training and preferences, which can make communication harder at first. Increase collaboration across silos to deliver more value. If you feel like your teams are working hard but not truly connected, you're not alone. Many organisations struggle with non-aligned priorities between teams. A useful place to start is establishing shared outcome goals across teams—this small change encourages alignment and naturally breaks down barriers.
