NEW: SIX Exchanges Figures for September 2024 ➡ https://six.swiss/4gOdb2Q With a combined trading turnover of CHF 130,600 million, both SIX Swiss Exchange and BME | Bolsas y Mercados Españoles have seen strong turnover growth in September, up 20% over the previous month. Since the start of the year, a combined turnover of CHF 1,213,746 million corresponds to a YTD increase of 6.8%. The number of trades across both exchanges in Switzerland and Spain also increased: compared to August, it was 1.7% higher and reached a total of 6,030,187. YTD, 6.4% more transactions have been recorded. While the Swiss blue chip index #SMI dropped by 2.2% to 12,168.9 points, the #IBEX 35 raised by 4.2% to reach 11,877.3 points. YTD, they are up 9.3% (SMI) and 17.6% (IBEX 35) by the end of September. Last week, our Chief Risk Officer, Dr. Jochen B. Duerr, attended the 51st Annual Meeting of the Federación Iberoamericana de Bolsas (FIAB) in Buenos Aires, where he had the privilege of participating in an insightful panel discussion in the framework of the Annual Meeting.   The panel, titled "𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞", was moderated by Jose Luis Onis (Matba-Rofex) and included expert insights from Marcelo Prilucas (BYMA) and Akeem Rodriguez (Latinex) who were on stage alongside him.   Jochen Dürr highlighted that “a focus on protection, detection, and reaction can benefit from the use of AI to maximize the success of a cyber security strategy." #FIAB2025
