The focus was on how businesses can drive progress in sustainability and social responsibility, with a commitment to creating long-term value for all stakeholders.   Andrew Kakabadse, Professor of Governance and Leadership and Chairman of Henley Director Forum in London, emphasized the importance of having smart, principled executives on boards. These individuals should be unafraid to challenge business practices, scrutinize reports and policies, and actively engage with the company's operations.   Leaders are urged to evaluate their board composition and ensure that board members possess the qualities of effective guardians. ESG is about people, and having the right people for the role of governance.
