Siamo Group is an award-winning company providing UK-wide personnel services, strategically combining a complete recruitment service with integrated training, HR, payroll and IT services to suit your business needs. Siamo Recruitment has specialist, experienced teams who can consult and support you with all of your flexible and permanent recruitment needs for the Blue Collar and White Collar sectors. We can work with you remotely with our experienced branch consultants, or onsite with our managed service division. Siamo Training offers accredited training for projects within the industrial, warehousing/logistics, manufacturing, retail and call centre sectors. We can provide bespoke Commercial Training and are also approved to deliver training under the Apprenticeship Levy. Our team works with businesses to provide bespoke Workforce Training and Development and provides dedicated trainers to ensure continuity. Siamo Group can provide a whole service for your company, or you can choose to work with us purely for Recruitment or Training. Since our inception we have gained accreditation from the GLAA, Sedex, ALP and Stronger Together, and have recognition from the London Stock Exchange Group as one of its Top 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain. You may have previously known us as Templine Employment Agency Ltd, a a Recruitment, Witton Recruitment, FSH Recruitment, Evolve Recruitment, Nation Recruit or Qommunicate. Although our names were different and our specialisms varied, we all shared the same values and ethos. That is why today we are all Siamo Group.

    Thoughts on a 4-day work week? 🤔 There has been lots of healthy debate recently about employees given the right to ask for a 4-day work week under proposed government plans. Workers could potentially request this change to increase flexible working - the idea is to fit full-time hours into fewer days. A 4-day work week would differ by sector, job type & how practical this is for the role. So far there have been mixed opinions on the effectiveness of this, we’re keen to know your thoughts! #poll #polloftheday #opinions

We are seeking a driven individual committed to delivering continuous improvements, maintaining high standards, and supporting team success. The Role Responsibilities💡 • Provide strong maintenance support in areas to improve safety, people, cost and service. • Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of all plant facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems (Electrical systems preferred). • Drive improvements in maintenance performance and cost reduction through identification and implementation of best practice techniques and application of root cause analysis to develop long term solutions to chronic downtime issues. • Drive improvements through carrying out daily health checks and periodic condition monitoring on critical site service equipment. • Managing building access and security systems. • Ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and fully operational. • Support and in some cases lead improvement projects, from minor changes through to CAPEX justification and commissioning. • Deliver best practice contractor management and permit to work whilst ensuring contractors provide a service that is quality driven and value for money • Provide ownership and support of own area for engineering shutdowns and start-ups. • Set up communications with site teams such that all works carried out fulfil the requirements of Environmental, Health & Safety, Food safety & Engineering • Carry out energy monitoring of key equipment, ensuring data is collected & entered into database Knowledge Requirements💡 • Previous experience of Facility equipment – Compressors, Boilers, fire systems, Effluent Management, General building repairs etc. • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Demonstrate a genuine appetite to lead activities to improve asset reliability. • Facilities or Engineering background essential. • Good communication and decision-making skills • Computer literacy essential Microsoft office • Ability to prioritise workload based on impact to site. • Strong organisational skills, ensuring all service reports are filed appropriately & available for regular audits. Service reports are reviewed & remedial actions planned in via facility action plan • Daily/Weekly contact with Engineering manager to review work plan but the person is expected to work off their own initiative majority of the time. • A hands-on approach, not afraid to complete various facility tasks & repairs If you are interested in this role and would like to find out more, please sent your CV to Kelly at [email protected] 📧

    Struggling with Hard-to-Fill Vacancies? 🤔 According to the CIPD Labour Market Outlook of Summer 2024 ‘hard-to-fill vacancies remain prevalent’. 37% of employers surveyed said that they have hard-to-fill vacancies. If you’ve ever faced the challenge of recruiting for a role that seems impossible to fill, you’re not alone. A hard-to-fill vacancy is where you’re continuously hitting roadblocks - either the right talent isn’t there, or candidates aren’t showing interest. So, how do you solve this? Here are two key strategies –   1️⃣ Address the Skill Gaps: Sometimes the perfect candidate just doesn’t exist, or the required skills are hard to come by. Instead of waiting months, ask: Can we train for these skills? More often than not, you can. By being realistic, you could train 5 people in the time it takes to find one “perfect” hire. 💡   2️⃣ Align Salary & Package with the Market: Look closely at what you’re offering. Does the salary, location, and benefits match what candidates in this market expect? If no one’s responding, you may be overestimating your package.   Be honest and realistic about what your budget can attract. You may need to raise the offer or adjust your expectations. 💡 Filling hard-to-fill roles comes down to balance: adjusting skill requirements and making your offer competitive enough to attract talent.     Congratulating our Temp to Perm colleagues in Dordon!!👏 Here’s some feedback we received about the group from Ecaterina – Goods In Team Leader - ‘They work together as a team, learned quick about what was expected of them and learned to do their role to the expected standards. I have never had to monitor their performance as they are always overachieving in their role, treating others with respect, addressing problems and solving any small issues among themselves and raising the important ones to the relevant people. They have always had a good work ethic, great attendance and have a respectful attitude towards other colleagues and management.
