3 powerful questions when you’re stuck on Amazon next steps Most of our Amazon clients have five things in common: They ➡️ Don’t want to be in the same position on Amazon next year ➡️ They are tired of looking for easy Amazon wins and then getting burnt ➡️ Have an overwhelming feeling that they need to do something to change their Amazon but don’t know where to start ➡️ Feel that they don’t know what they don’t know about Amazon ➡️ Need some accountability, expertise and structure to get Amazon moving in the right direction Feeling like this can be paralysing It’s overwhelming to know where to start So many business owners do nothing and say it’s impossible to make Amazon work The good news is It’s all doable A good place to start is with reflection Carve out 30 mins - yes you do have time, stop scrolling Get it out your head - write or create a voice memo on your phone as you talk Answer these 3 question as honestly as you can, even if it’s a brain dump 1. What will happen if we do nothing? 2. In September 2025 what do we want to say has happened on Amazon in the last year? 3. What would we do next if we weren’t afraid of losing margin? ............................................................................................................................. At Sell Beyond - Amazon Management Consultancy we specialise in Amazon Consulting. 🇫🇷 This morning I'm in Paris being interviewed for French TV about the Cold War! Did you know I was a university academic before founding Sell Beyond - Amazon Management Consultancy? Life is about using your diverse experiences to the best you can and never forgetting where you come from (in my case, probably the library or the archive 😀) PS the cognac and the croissants are as good as ever in Paris

  • Did you know that Amazon Pay-Per-Click is not simply about marketing? Amazon PPC is actually about your profit and loss and how you can increase profitable sales on Amazon, rather than simply spending a fixed marketing budget. This month's webinar isn't just for your Marketing Manager. It's for anyone in the business who sets, monitors and manages budgets. PPC strategy is often set by someone in the business who does not have overall profit and loss responsibility. Other times, PPC is outsourced to an agency which will never ask you about how much margin you need to make. On 23rd January 2024 at 9am, @Phil Revitt and myself, @Dr Heloise Finch, are offering you a 1 hour practical session on Profitable Amazon Ads: Create a Profit-First Amazon Business. Phil Revitt is one of Sell Beyond’s in-house PPC experts. He has run his own successful business on Amazon USA since 2015. Previously a UK Independent Financial Advisor and a General Manager of a UK business, Phil will explain PPC Ads from a business and finance perspective. In this session we will move away from the technical jargon of Pay-Per Click execution and get back to the business basics that all Financial Directors and CEOs of businesses with an Amazon sales channel need to understand. We will cover: *️⃣ Goals: Why are you advertising on Amazon? *️⃣ Profit: Calculate unit profitability and cost of acquisition *️⃣ Reach: Decide where to focus *️⃣ Net income: Understand PPC conversion To join this session, register here. https://hubs.la/Q02fMtFm0 #Amazon #ecommerce #retail #AmazonPPC #EcommerceInsights #BoostSales #MarketingStrategies #DataDrivenDecisions #WinInTheMarketplace

  • So just how much did Amazon feature in your Christmas? On a personal level I am guessing it featured A LOT! But did Amazon deliver enough for your business this Christmas? Here at Sell Beyond, we've taken a closer look at the impact of Amazon Prime on consumer behaviour, potential sales growth and the practical steps you can take to maximise the impact of Prime on your business. There's no doubt in our mind that the increased sales volume from selling through Amazon Prime far outweigh the costs. Check out our latest blog on why we think now's the time for you to start selling your products using Amazon Prime. https://hubs.la/Q02fy_ly0 #amazon #retail #ecommerce

  • The best curve you can throw the competition is your ability to leap from one learning curve to the next. Amazon has changed over the years - are you keeping ? What worked in 2021 ... ...isn't necessarily what your business needs to succeed today. Isn't it time to refresh your thinking and jump to the bottom of a new Learning Curve, put in the effort, and ensure that your offer and your business model are relevant for Amazon in 2024? Don't stagnate at the bottom of one learning curve -- take the leap and re-assess your offering on Amazon and how to make it more attractive, more profitable and more competitive #Amazon #retail #ecommerce #learningjourney

  • Many businesses we speak with at Sell Beyond would agree that Amazon's aggressive positioning in the retail space makes it increasingly harder to be a business using Amazon as a sales channel, yet they also recognise that customers still love shopping on the platform. What are your thoughts?

Is Amazon's business model ultimately helping consumers, or harming them? Two weeks ago, the Federal Trade Commission - the US competition regulator - filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon, alleging that Amazon illegally uses its monopoly power to - overcharge consumers - hobble competitors - exploit the hundreds of thousands of sellers on its marketplace.   Some analysts are even predicting that Amazon will surpass Walmart as the largest U.S. retailer by 2024-5. The below chart from the Financial Times shows Aamzon's increasing domination of many retail segments. Yet the FTC's anti-monopoly lawsuit is not an easy win for the US government. Some analysts have said if the FTC gets what it wants, perhaps this isn’t so good for the consumer. “I think [the case] is a bit of an uphill climb” for the FTC, says Michael Carrier, co-director at the Rutgers Institute for Information Policy and Law, quoted in the Financial Times last week. “One of the real challenges here is that consumers seem to be happy with Amazon.” Is Amazon's business model ultimately helping consumers, or harming them? Many businesses we speak with at Sell Beyond - Amazon Management Consultancy would agree that Amazon's aggressive positioning in the retail space makes it increasingly harder to be a business using Amazon as a sales channel, yet they also recognise that customers still love shopping on the platform.
