⚛ Do you know how to seal nuclear power plants to protect against concurrent and consequential hazards? I am proud and happy to recommend our technical paper on sealing solutions for traditional and new nuclear power projects such as SMRs. My Roxtec colleague, Senior Test and Certificates Engineer @John Hallström and myself Global Segment Manager @Gavin Cornall, share our knowhow on how to protect against multiple hazards by securing all cable and pipe penetrations in line with IAEA safety guidance. We have, with the permission from the IAEA, reproduced extracts from IAEA publications, and explain why we recommend Roxtec seals for separation barriers, walls, floors, and cabinets throughout nuclear facilities to meet these requirements. Our cable and pipe seals protect against water ingress, humidity, and gas leakage, and provide certified fire protection. They secure bonding and grounding, shield against EMI and EMP, and prevent the risk of explosion. Since the Fukushima accident, improvements have been made to guidance and governance regarding concurrent and consequential hazards, and our technical paper shows that Roxtec has the expertise and a regulatory compliant sealing technology that fits the nuclear power industry.
